Last night my friend Jen and I met up with her friends Michel and Annie at The Music Box in Hollywood, CA to see M83 live in concert. As a new fan of the band, I hadn’t seen them live before but I was very excited to hear the play perform the songs I have fallen in love with. The concert was more than just a regular rock show … it was an experience. The mood was set early on and M83 delivered perfectly as the night unfolded. As far as first shows go, it was a great one for me.

I have to admit that I wasn’t as familiar with many of the songs and couldn’t name them by name but the setlist sounded well constructed. I was a bit bummed that Graveyard Girl didn’t make the set but all in all, the show was excellent. We all had a great time. This weekend, tix go on sale for M83′s return to LA in January … I might have to see this band live again. Once is clearly not enough.
Tonight, I have another concert on deck. Yelle, the superfun French singer, is performing at The Wiltern and Josh and I will be checking her out. I really love her music, despite the fact that I cannot understand much of what she’s singing (my basic French can only pick up so much). Nonetheless, I know I’m going to have a fun time dancing my buns off at her show tonight. Wee!! Can’t wait! Happy Thursday!!

Just saw on twitter Yelle is canceled tonight
Yelle postponed til Monday sadly…I have tix too, perhaps I’ll see you there Trent!
