‘Batman: The Dark Knight Rises’ Covers ‘Empire’ Magazine
Batman v. Bane

Empire magazine now has the distinction of being the first publication to put the upcoming superhero sequel film Batman: The Dark Knight Rises on their cover and as a treat for fans, the issue will come with 2 different covers. Hero Batman gets his own cover while villain Bane gets as cover as well. Empire asked its readers pick which cover they wanted to see first via popular vote … but you can click below and see both covers in full at the same time.

We are still many, many months away from the theatrical release of The Dark Knight Rises but it’s never too early to see promo stuff like this. In just a few weeks, we will get to see the 6-minute TDKR prequel that will show in front of IMAX showings of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol so the Batman goodness is just getting started. It remains to be seen if Catwoman will be getting her own Empire magazine cover but … I’m thinking she will, at some point or another.

Definitely looking forward to it – but I just know it won’t live up to The Dark Knight. I just get this weird feeling RIses is gonna be great but all over the place, like Spiderman 3. It’s exactly what I’m feeling with The Avengers but have more faith in that with Whedon and well, it needs to have too many superheros in the one film.

Also, Rises doesn’t have Ledger which basically MADE TDK and made it gross $1B. This is def gonna make $1B for sure – seems easy for films these days – but not only did people flock to TDK for Ledger, they walked away really pleased, I know many people I made watch it and they hate action movies and were just completely stunned – they’re gonna be at midnight sessions now!

However – 2012 is ALL about The Hunger Games.
