Last week we got to check out a 30 second clip of Beyoncé‘s newest music video (her second in as many weeks) and today we get to check out the full clip. As a special treat to her Australian fans, Bey first debuted the video for Love On Top down under in Oz … but today, the rest of us get to see Love in full for ourselves. Click below to check out Beyoncé‘s Jackson 5-inspired new music video and read what she has to say about it.
I am excited to give my Australian fans the World Premiere of “Love On Top!” Thank you for the amazing response to the song at radio. I have worked very hard on this video, this song is special to me and I had an idea for the video based on some of my favorite male groups. I remember seeing videos from New Edition, The Jackson 5 and the Temptations, bands I love for their beautiful harmonies, and precise choreography and I always wanted to make a video and be part of a boy group myself. It was so much fun. I put my heart and soul into “Love On Top” and I hope you love it.
I knew from the preview clip we got last week that I was gonna love this video. It’s simple and cute. It’s nothing spectacular and, to be honest, it’s not something that I think I need to watch a bunch of times but I can dig it. What do y’all think? Are you loving Love On Top?

Hate the Song..Wish Beyonce would STOP looking for ideas for videos on You Tube and come up with something new for once. She is becoming the COPYCAT QUEEN.
@Dana — While I think you have a GREAT point about the copycat allegations, I think this video is more like an homage rather than a straight rip-off. But, yeah, Bey’s vids do tend to look very similar to other people’s videos.
Agreed. Beyonce sometimes seems to walk a fine line between being inspired and copying without giving credit. In this case, at least she acknowledges right away where she got the idea from.
It’s simple and something I can appreciate but will probably not watch again.
im just gunna come out and say it, im sick of all her “inspired” videos. it seems everybody elses work inspired every piece of this era so far. it comes off as a little lazy.
but i will say this, its a nice change to see her backed up by a group of males instead of females
Copycat issues aside, does no one else realize that she has male backup dancers lip synching to female vocals?
if i remember right, there were male backup singers at her MTV performance. most females have atleast one male backup singer..so i guess its no big deal here.
B just gets more and more beautiful. I love her attitude in this video. She has mega star power, because even though she has some very fine backup dancers, they are like planets and she is like the sun.
Love on Top caught my attention when I first heard it and I was hoping it would get released and that a video be made to help support it.
It appears that Beyonce’s concept for this video was based on some of her favorite male groups. And I must admit that I like the change she made here when it came to her back-up ensemble.
Beyonce may not be known for her originality when it comes to some of her videos but she sure knows how to improve it and give it new life.
Bryan Tanaka is hawt. This song is so happy; I love it! The video is simple and fun, imho.
I really like it! And while we can’t assume the orientation of the backup dancers, it seems like an empowering video for gay men seeing these men back her up while she sings of her devotion to her man. Kind of makes me think they’re doing the same. Go B!
