Yesterday was a pretty fun day for David and me. First, we made our way to the real home that is used in the new FX TV series American Horror Story and then we met up with friends at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery for their annual Day of the Dead Celebration. It was a creepy/fun day that was the PERFECT lead-in for the coming Hallowe’en week! Check out some of my fun photos below.

A quick Google search for the AHS house led us to Westchester Place. It was kinda creepy but very fun seeing this “haunted house” in person. David and I took a lot of photos but these are our faves.
Next up, we met Adriana and Brian at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery for their Day of the Dead party. OMG, we had a blast!!

In my 5 years living in LA, I’ve *always* missed out on attending this festival. I was starting to think I was cursed. BUT, at last, I got to attend … and have the best time ever:

David and I wore our masks from Sleep No More and they were BIG hits! Lots of people commented on them so they came in handy. We had a lot of fun hanging out with Adriana, Brian and their friend Rosa. Day of the Dead is one of THE most fun, most beautiful and most lively celebrations of the year. I’ve only come to enjoy it since living here in SoCal so I love making up for lost time. If you’ve never attended a Day of the Dead festival, I strongly urge you to check one out. Day of the Dead is actually Nov. 2 so you still have time to attend this year.
Today, David and I are heading out to celebrate Audrey’s 1st birthday and then later tonight we are FINALLY going to meet Gillian’s newborn baby girl Gemma. It’s gonna be a baby day, y’all!! Happy Sunday!!

Your Day of the Dead is way better than our Day of the Dead.
Day of the Dead here in Mexico is actually Nov. 2… Luv it!!! is one of my favorite festivities… :D
I was just gonna say that. Day of the Dead is November 2nd, and there are A LOT of beautiful and symbolic celebrations involved…
I love the miniture sugar skulls, I collect them…sounds creepy but I have a hanging one and ceramic one like above both from Mexico. Can’t any in the U.S that aren’t expensive.
@Lee — Not creepy at all. I love it!!
