First Listen: Mariah Carey Featuring Justin Bieber, ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You (Superfestive!)’
Two weeks ago we got to check out the first music video from Justin Bieber‘s upcoming Xmas album Under the Mistletoe. Today we get to hear some more Xmas music from The Biebs. Mariah Carey has released a NEW version of her hit Xmas song All I Want for Christmas Is You and she smartly got Bieber to perform on the track. All I Want is a perennial Xmas fave year after year after year … but with the little prince on the track, it’s bound to rocket sales of the song into the stratosphere. HMMM. Let me first say that I love this song … well, the original version. Mimi hit the mf jackpot when she penned this Xmas song back in the early 90s. It’s bound to be an Xmas song that will live for all time. As for this remix … well … it’s not my fave verison of the song but the Mimi parts are still good. This is not a song that I, personally, would want to listen to on an annual basis but at the core, All I Want for Christmas Is You is a damn brilliant holiday-themed pop song … that not even The Biebs can totally ruin. What do y’all think?

As the HUGE Mariah Carey fan I am, I will pretend this does not exist. THE ORIGINAL WILL LIVE ON FOREVER!!!!! I feel like MC was forced to do this by the record company. Biebers voice is nowhere good enough to remix Mariah singing the alphabets, let alone this joyous classic. Anyways, I read MC is in the studio. I’ll just wait until 2012 to hear new MC. The kids can have this dreck. Besides, I’m really enjoying listening to the “Memoirs” cd again for like the last 2 weeks.

My thoughts exactly!!! She’s a very smart business woman!! The tweens that have Bieber-fever will definitely be downloading this song!!! She’s got Roc & Roe to take care of now, kids aren’t cheap! LOL

I absolutely ADORE the ORIGINAL. This kinda makes me sad. I mean, Justin has a huge fan base and all, but this song is classic. Don’t mess with something thats already PERFECT.
the only good remix i’ve heard so far was by MCR. and michael buble’s version should be good. but this one..not so much. i agree that the mimi parts are good, but JB..no.his voice doesnt blend with hers. of course his fans will eat this up.

When is Justin Bieber going away??? I am tired of his music and hearing about every little thing he does every damn day…UGH!!! I don’t plan on listening his horrendous version of a great holiday song.
That was HORRIBLE!!!!!!! WHy would you ruin an amazing song. Even Mimi’s voice isnt as good as the orignial version. I will never listen to it again and they better not put that version on the radio all season and not the orignial or I will be pissed

anyone else notice how mariah carey actually didn’t re-record her vocals lol. they took her “extra festive” version from her “Merry Christmas II You” album, dubbed Biebs’ vocals over it and called it a “duet” lol
