Last month we learned that Britney Spears began production in London, England on the music video for her new single Criminal. A few days later, a few attention-hungry politicians in the UK demanded that Britney apologize for deciding to film a criminal-themed music video in their city. Undaunted, Britney‘s people responded to the silly controversy but made it clear they have no intention of pulling or changing the video. This week, Britney posted a message on her official Twitter profile alerting us to the fact that the Criminal music video will be released next week … so FINALLY we’ll get to see what all the hubbub is about.

Wee!! I can’t wait to see this clip. As you may recall, Britney cast her boyfriend Jason Trawick in the video with her. It would seem that he will portray the criminal that Britney tells her mama she’s in love with. It will be the first time we get to see Jason in one of Britney‘s projects … well, except for those few times that he was used in Brit Brit‘s current Femme Fatale Tour show. This video is going to rule … I cannot WAIT!
