Victoria Beckham Is Unafraid To Carry Her Newborn Daughter In High Heels
Pro Mom

After arriving in the Big Apple last week, Victoria Beckham and her brand new baby girl Harper Seven continued their onslaught on NYC as NY Fashion Week events got underway. Being the ever-stylish mom that she is, Vicki B. had NO PROBLEM carting around her baby girl while teetering on sky high heeled Christian Loutoutin shoes. While some moms choose not to risk any accidental falls while carrying their precious cargo, VB happily strode as tall as she wanna be with babe in arms … now that’s a pro mom right there.

She wowed the fashion world with her latest collection at New York Fashion Week earlier in the day so Victoria Beckham was clearly in the mood to celebrate. And what could be a more fashionable a way to enjoy the rest of her day than hitting the shops with her daughter Harper. The mother-of-four, 37, stepped out in a scallop neck dress with dropped waist from the new line Victoria by Victoria Beckham that she is launching in New York this week for s/s 2012, to pursue the offerings in Prada with her gorgeous baby daughter in her hands. And Victoria hadn’t just taken the time with her own ensemble but Harper was dressed in a pale pink dress with an pretty bow clipped into her hair. The fashion designer finished off her own look with a pair of sky-high black ankle boots by her favourite shoe creator Christian Louboutin and a rose gold watch. And being the lady of the moment, with many fans coveting a seat at her fashion show earlier in the day Victoria and Harper certainly caused quite a frenzy as they entered the boutique. And everyone couldn’t resist trying to catch a snap of the mother daughter couple. Little Harper seemed more than happy in the Prada store and appeared contend being cradled in her mother’s arms. After the shopping trip Victoria took Harper to lunch at at Balthazar. Given Victoria’s rising status in the fashion world it’s likely that little Harper will be one of the best-dressed little girls in Hollywood.

You know, there mere sight of these crazy heels would generally make me nervous but not this time. Vicki B. is a PRO. She can do anything in heels so, yeah, she’s got things under control here. As for Harper becoming a stylish babe, yeah, you can count on that for sure. I know that Suri Holmes-Cruise is hoping to be the most stylist celeb kid around but … nope. It’s Harper Seven‘s world. You can bet on that.

I love it!! Harper really looks a lot like Romeo. If that is his name, he is the youngest one.

  2. Zanne says:

Hmm, hopefully they’ll be ok. I took a spill while wearing high-heels while holding my infant son – luckily I only injured myself but it was too scary for me to risk it again! Maybe she’s more coordinated than me though! ;)

  3. Jbo says:

I just think she’s VERY STUPID for even chancing it. NO ONE is immune from tripping or meeting unlevel pavement. I think she seems more like an accessory than a child.

    • @di from NYC says:

I was just about to post the same exact thing, I am not getting the impression of a child here, more like high fashion accessory, didn’t she take Harper to fashion week already?

Adorable baby and Victoria is probably a good mother but she is showcasing the baby more than Tom Cruise does Suri.

    • Hannah says:

I have never worn high heels with a baby because I’m not good in heels and clumsy enough already, but if a mother had to stop everything in her life because of the chance of danger to the baby she wouldn’t be able to do anything. I’ve tripped on a curb before in trainers, should I not carry a child while stepping over a curb?

      • Velaine says:

Agree with Hannah on this. You can trip wearing any kind of shoe, and we can assume that Mrs. Beckham isn’t exactly a clutz on heels. We’ve already seen her with the baby in flats, so we can all rest assured that this is something that she has probably put some small amount of thought into. Let the woman live.

      • Jenn says:

I just tripped over my own 2 feet (no shoes or socks on) bringing my baby to bed. And we live in a 1 story house.

  4. Kattmow says:

I think she is a jackass, always have always will.

  5. nicole nicole says:

i hate when moms wear heels with babies. it makes me so nervous. i know shes awesome in heels…but even a pro can tumble

  6. Ama says:

It seems like she is being cautious with her, which is good. still it doesn’t seem like a good idea, not going to call her an idiot but I do hope she has someone with her encase she does tumble.

  7. Manderz says:

I thought she wasn’t supposed to wear heels anymore bc of the feet problems she has from wearing them and also from a slipped disc she suffered while pregnant from wearing them? I thought I read that somewhere, but I could be wrong…I always think of when Brit Brit almost dropped her son while wearing heels and being photographed :( One flash to the eye and down she can go!

  8. Panti Christ says:

Don’t worry, Vicki B has nearly invisible puppet strings that are controlled by success – she’s fiiiine.

  9. cinner says:

she shouldnt be chancing falling with that baby like she is wearing those rediculously high heels.

  10. Katie says:

It bugs me that you feed the supermom machine. This type of thinking contributes to our increasing rates of postpartum depression. Being the mother of an infant is hard enough without the media praising ridiculous images like this. I am thankful that at least you didn’t extol her weight, though. Thanks for that.

  11. AmandaMarie says:

You can definitely tell it’s David’s daughter. You can also tell it’s Victoria’s daughter. Perfect blend of momma and daddy. She’s officially my fave celeb kid right now.

  12. Scienter says:

The commenter bashing her for wearing heels are overreacting. People are so eager to heap scorn on mothers for every perceived misstep. This seems even worse when the mother is a celebrity.

    • Hannah says:

I agree. Being a mother is hard whoever you are and you are judged for everything. I can’t imagine how I would feel if people followed me with a camera and diagnosed everything I did as being irresponsible with my newborn.

      • JCZ says:

Exactly how Britney was treated from the public and the media and well, continues to be ridiculed with ridiculous rumours and claims in tacky gossip mags.

As for taking her to Fashion Week – this girl is going to experience fashion week every year of her life and VB is gonna make sure of that! Hah!

Ps. Thankgod she had a girl, someone needs to put the stubborn Suri in her place.

  13. gayana says:

now that’s one hot mama!! i bet her sons are so proud of her!!! i mean its been like what 2 months since she gave birth and had a slipped disc and she’s working those Louboutins no problem =) gotta love her

makes me wana compare to Britney in her worst days when she would almost drop her child wearing flats..

Vicky B all the way )))))))))))))))

  14. corryn says:

  15. megan says:

The fact that she can walk in those heel at all is amazing, “irregardless” of what she’s carrying or not. I can’t walk in shoes with an inch heel

  16. Erica says:

wow1 i can’t believe people are worried about her falling in heels. she wears them all the time. she’s not like lilo tripping all over the place. luckily we don’t all have people following us around as we try to parent. also, victoria has never given any other impression than being a doting mom. so idk about all this fashion accessory business.

  17. Lauren xx says:

Vicki B wears heels ALL THE TIME, she always has, and probably always will. I have a good girlfriend who is the same way, and she has more trouble walking in flat shoes than heels because her body isn’t used to it. Maybe Victoria’s the same way? People are so quick to judge for the most stupid inane things.

  18. Brittny Doll says:

Some people like me and my sis where born tippy toe walkers. I can’t stand the way regular shoes are…my regular shoes for comfort is at least 2 inch high heals for *stability*. Another fame mother is MC and she has twins…yes she to is a natural tippy toe walker.

Any other tippy toe walkers out there :D. I don’t see VB being any different, and I’m sure she’s a pro at balance.

    • Velaine says:

Me TOO! And nobody believes me. I’m seven months pregnant, still walking in heels, and people give me so much grief about it. I’ll stop when it becomes uncomfortable. Actually, I did stop for a few weeks as I was getting used to the weight gain and center of gravity change. I would lose my balance while barefoot! But when I was able to balance again the heels came back. No idea when I’ll have to put them away again.

  19. chris says:

Harper is CUTE! And Vicky’s probably got the heal walking thing down since she’s used to it: I would fall on my a*&.

But my gawd! Look at all those people trailing her with cameras!
