Adele Does ‘Vogue’ Magazine
"I have insecurities, of course."

The rapturous Adele is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Vogue magazine lookin’ about as beautiful as ever. Unlike the normally rail thin models who grace the pages of the so-called Fashion Bible, Adele graces the cover in her stunningly beautiful way, highlighted by the fact that she is immensely talented. Click below to check out Adele‘s Vogue coverphoto, read some excerpts from her interview and check out one of her amazing photospread photos.

While many young singers are obsessed with staying slim there is one star that makes no apology for her fuller figure. And in a revealing interview singing sensation Adele says she is happy just the way she is and her voluptuous shape has never been an issue. Speaking to Vogue the 23-year-old who also posed for a series of stunning portraits said: ‘I enjoy being me; I always have done. I’ve seen people where it rules their lives, you know, who want to be thinner or have bigger boobs, and how it wears them down. And I just don’t want that in my life.’ And it seems the people she surrounds herself with ensure she maintains a positive self-image. She explained: ‘It’s just never been an issue – at least, I’ve never hung out with the sort of horrible people who make it an issue. I have insecurities of course, but I don’t hang out with anyone who points them out to me.’ Adele, who was forced to cancel the first two dates of her U.K. tour yesterday because of a severe cold and chest infection, has also revealed why you won’t see her as the face of a brand anytime soon, no matter how high the offer is. She told the magazine: ‘I don’t want to see me plastered everywhere, before adding ‘If they offered me £10million, I’d be like fuck off. Besides if I was going to be the face of anything it should be the face of full-fat coke.’

AHHHH … I just love her so much. As hugely talented as she is, Adele is still very much in her early-20s and she is unashamed to speak her mind. Sometimes it gets her in trouble but, whatever, she’s still very young … she is already off to a fantastic start. I’m certain that Adele is in it for the long haul. It’s really so cool to watch her career take off from the start. Just, love her.

How refreshing. I love Adele and am very happy to see her on the cover of Vogue. There’s hope for humanity yet.

I love her. She’s beautiful and I love the cover. However, I’ve noticed that often, in those rare times when a bigger model is featured on the cover of one of these magazines, they do a close-up on their face, rather than showing more of their body. I don’t remember seeing many (any?) other Vogue covers with this kind of extreme close up on the face.

I know, I’ve noticed the same. It’s such a shame.. Hopefully her words will speak the message that the pictures somewhat fail to send.

My fave cover of Vogue is a Vogue UK cover of Kate Moss’ face and hand. She was wearing white fur and had orange nail polish, think it was 1996 or 1997. So this is a cover look for the thin models also. I do remember being outraged that Oprah was asked to lose weight for her cover. Horrid.

I’ve also noticed that. And I think my biggest pet peeve is that anytime there is an article on someone who isn’t stick-thin, they always have to point it out. Why? I think the article would be fine calling Adele “the girl with the amazing voice and gorgeous face” instead of “the plus-size girl with the amazing voice…” etc. I’ve always hated that about magazines, though.

maybe because the other model’s faces aren’t as beautiful as hers? :P

Adele is incredibly talented. If you put that aside…in my opinion she is also incredibly gorgeous. That face is so stunning: the eyes, the nose, the skin, nose and mouth shape. Really really beautiful. If you look at her in a purely superficial way, I think she still deserves to be on magazine covers, talented or not. Yes, she isn’t your average weight, but she also isn’t your average plain jane.

I look forward to the day that Vogue puts someone of non-model weight on the cover and doesn’t feel the need to point it out or pat themselves on the back for it. The fact that they still make it THE focus of their preview shows that it is uncomfortable for them.

So its Vogue so they’re going to photoshop anyone no matter whom!

But the thing is, what photoshop they have done is perfect, if that makes sense?
Cause this looks like Adele you see on stage and in interviews.

I don’t know if she has perfect skin tone or what not – but Adele is always immaculate and flawless with her make up. It probably has a great layer but doesn’t look cake-face. She always looks so elegant with her presentation.

I was gonna say her chin stand out but so do her lips and then her eyes! I knew she was pretty but this close up of her proves even more how beautiful she is.

Some models you only want to stare at cause when they open their mouth, well ya know… with Adele… OPEN YA GOD DAMN MOUTH WOMAN!

P.S. I love her interview the other day with Jonathan Ross and how he called her a superstar. She didn’t look too pleased – great to see she is so grounded with her success unlike some other pop stars out there, we all know who I’, referring to!

  12. Miguel says:

Trent, did you like Adele when 19 came out?…

  13. Erin says:

Cannot believe how incredibly beautiful she is–puts the rest of the celebs and models to shame. Oh, yeah–she sings like an angel and is so humble.
