On Saturday we learned that longtime couple Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey got themselves hitched in a “private” ceremony on a “secret” island … that will be broadcast on national television at the end of this month. Today we get our first look at the first photos from that clandestine wedding. TLC, the cable network airing the La-Nessa wedding special, has been advertising the program for a couple of weeks now showcasing the events leading up to the wedding. But today, we get to see photos and read deets from the real deal. Check ‘em out below.

This is the first picture of Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo emerging from their make-shift cliff-top chapel on Necker Island as husband and wife. The blushing bride is seen in her stunning two-piece Monique Lhuiller wedding gown, featuring an intricately embellished lace corset with rose and crystal detail, and hand tufted skirt made of silk faille. The 30-year-old’s look was completed with a tailored bow belt at her waist and chapel length tulle veil. Lachey, 37, is also seen in his dapper Dolce & Gabanna suit. Beaming, the couple walk out of the tent arm-in-arm and into the stunning British Virgin Islands sun-drenched weather. In another snap, Vanessa is also seen being walked up the aisle by her father, who is dressed in a grey suit, ahead of her nuptials with the 98 Degrees singer, who was previously married to pop star Jessica Simpson for three years. Nick and Vanessa are said to have arrived on the island on Tuesday via a private jet. Exchanging their vows on a cliff-top overlooking the ocean, the wedding was for close family only.
The couple did however invite the cameras in for their upcoming reality special titled Nick & Vanessa’s Dream Wedding, a decision they said they discussed heavily prior to the big day. ‘We kind of wrestled with that for a while, for obvious reasons,’ Nick said earlier this month. ‘Having done reality TV in the past, I didn’t necessarily want to jump right back into it without having thought it through to great length, and we did. Vanessa and my wedding is for us, for the people in our lives who are close to us and mean a lot to us,’ he said. ‘That’s the way we wanted it, and I’m happy we’re able to do it that way.’ It is Nick’s second marriage, following his infamous three-year stint as Jessica’s husband. Nick and Vanessa are now planning to start a family together.

Personally, I don’t know that I would want to get married on TV again after my first TV marriage essentially died in front of a worldwide audience but, hey, that’s just me. I suppose I can’t argue with a couple like Vanessa and Nick who have the chance to cash in BIG TIME by doing reality TV. Because I really like La-Nessa together, I hope that reality TV will not be the kiss of death for them like it was for Nick and Jessica Simpson. And, to be honest, if this wedding special just happens to get recorded on my DVR, I *might* end up watching it. How about you? Will you tune in to watch these two get hitched?
