Tomorrow is the first day of 2011 San Diego Comic-Con, which means that a lot of very COOL and very NERDY geek stuff is about to be released. Today we get to check out 2 new promo posters from the upcoming new Sarah Michelle Gellar TV series Ringer which is set to premiere on The CW this Fall. These posters will make their debut at Comic-Con this weekend … but Entertainment Weekly magazine gives us our very first look at the promo images … check ‘em out below.

In anticipation of Ringer’s debut at Comic-Con, EW obtained an exclusive first look of the art and posters for the drama that debuts this fall on the CW. The panel for the series — which marks the return of Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Sarah Michelle Gellar, plus Lost heartthrob Nestor Carbonell – will take place at 1:45 p.m. in Ballroom 20 at the San Diego Convention Center. Moderated by EW’s own Kristen Baldwin, the panel will also feature stars Ioan Gruffudd (Fantastic Four) and Kristoffer Polaha (Life Unexpected), along with executive producer Pam Veasey (CSI:NY), and co-executive producers Nicole Snyder (Supernatural) and Eric Charmelo (Supernatural). Added bonus: One hundred fans who attend the panel will receive the show’s official Comic-Con poster signed by the cast.
Man … as much as I am not a Comic-Con person, I am really bummed out that I’m missing out on the chance to see SMG in person at the Ringer panel. I’m comforted, at least, by the fact that rabid fans who will be in attendance will make the info available from the panel as soon as it is announced. These posters are amazing. SMG can make even a fancy dog collar look hot. I just love her. I can’t wait for more Ringer goss, as well as other geeky stuff, to come from Comic-Con this weekend.

I am really pumped for this show…it looks good!!
LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! Buffy’s coming back to TV!!! I was just watching season three’s the wish during my cardio this morning!
Trent, I do not see how you’re not a Comic Con person. You’re a major fanboy for several TV shows and movies, and you’re “super-bummed” for missing this panel!
@E — I just can’t spend hours waiting in lines with so many other people. I love concerts as well … and yet, I hate going to festivals.
Unless SMG’s character goes by the name of Buffy Summers, I can’t see this lasting more than one season, if at all. Sorry, but once someone plays an iconic character it’s extremely difficult for them to be seen as anyone but that character.
@shannon — I dunno, I disagree. If the writing is good enough, I think the show will do just fine. SMG will initially bring in the audience but if the show is good, they will continue to watch … not because she used to be Buffy but because this new series is worth watching.
