Back in April we learned that happy news that Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County & The Hills star Kristin Cavallari had gotten engaged to be married to NFL star Jay Cutler. Just last week, Kristin and Jay announced their 2012 wedding date and KC enjoyed a fun engagement party with her close friends. This weekend, tho, it was revealed that the wedding is off … because, reportedly, Jay dumped Kristin :( Neither party has spoken out publicly about the split but it seems pretty evident that the wedding plans are totally DUNZO!
This is not the fairy-tale ending Kristin Cavallari was hoping for. After just 10 months together, Cavallari and Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler have called off their engagement, a source confirms to PEOPLE. “She got dumped,” says another source. “She’s absolutely devastated. She can’t believe this is happening.” The couple, who were planning a spring wedding, became engaged in April, when Cutler popped the question in Mexico. They had been spending much of their time recently in Chicago, and Cavallari had planned to move there during the upcoming football season. “She was planning her dream wedding, the date was set, the location – everything was set,” the source says. “She’s in shock that the dream wedding she was planning is going to end this way.” Just a week ago, Cavallari Tweeted about her engagement party. “Thx to all my amazing friends for making my engagement party a blast last night!” she wrote. The couple had completed their wedding registry, and Cavallari was determined to be in great shape for the wedding. Saturday night Cavallari hit The Beverly, an L.A. lounge, and was spotted without her engagement ring. “She was hanging out at a table with Nicky Hilton and Alessandra Ambrosio,” a source tells PEOPLE. “She was telling friends how they called off the engagement.” A rep for Cavallari had no comment.
Wow … what a bummer. I mean … it sucks that the wedding got called off, even suckier that Kristin reportedly got dumped … but for all of this to happen in the public eye just DAYS after the wedding date was announced is just … cold. Now, just because the wedding is off doesn’t mean that the couple have broken up, necessarily, but … I would be pretty good money that the couple are dunzo for good. I wonder if we’ll ever find out what happened between these two. I really love Kristin, I hope she’s doing OK. Hopefully this split will turn out for the best … better to break up well before the wedding rather than anytime after.

What a douche, if he wasn’t sure he shouldn’t have gotten engaged! This seemed doomed for failure, with how fast it happened in the first place. They don’t strike me as the types who had just been dying to settle down & be married for the rest of their lives.

That definitely sucks. I will say that I can’t quite pinpoint it, but there’s something about her that annoys me. It sounds silly to say since I don’t know her, but there’s something about her.
Her voice is really annoying, I could barely stand her on The Hills. Exactly how can SHE do better?? What IS she exactly except famous for being famous?? At least Jay has a career (how uninspiring it may be) but “work” has she actually done?
Jay is a lazy, half-assed “football player” if you want to call him that. SHE CAN do better.
