David Beckham Announces The Name Of His Baby Daughter On Facebook
"I am so proud and excited to announce ..."

Yesterday we learned the very happy news that David and Victoria Beckham welcomed the birth of their fourth child — their first girl — at around 8 AM PT. At the time that news of the baby’s birth was confirmed, no name was announced. Later in the day, Becks remedied that situation by posting his own personal birth announcement on his official Facebook profile along with the baby name. The fourth Beckham child, the only girl, has been named Harper Seven Beckham.

I am so proud and excited to announce the birth of our daughter Harper Seven Beckham. She weighed a healthy 7lbs 10oz and arrived at 7.55 this morning, here in LA. Victoria is doing really well and her brothers are delighted to have a baby sister xx

Well … it’s a name, that’s for sure. I absolutely love the name Harper … it’s a beautiful name. The Seven as the middle name is … interesting. For those of you who aren’t aware, 7 was David Beckham‘s first jersey number when he played for the Manchester United Football Club. Clearly, the number means a great deal to him for him to use it as a name for his only begotten daughter. It’s different, you gotta give the Beckhams that point. While I’m not in love with Seven as a name, I’m sure it’ll grow on me … and, at least, it’s only her middle name ;) So … I gotta know … what do y’all think of Harper Seven Beckham‘s name?

David also wore 7 when he played for England….I think it’s more for that than his time with Man. U.

I couldn’t be more upset. We named our daughter Harper earlier this year and now she will forever be compared to this celebrity child instead of the amazing author and great grandmother that she is named after. Boo!

The details of her birth were also abundant with 7s. (7 lbs and 7:55 pm), plus with David’s number, I could see how the name Seven may have seemed like it was meant to be or something.

  5. This is a nice name, harper is a very old english name

Just a lil correction, 7 was NOT David Beckham‘s first jersey number, it’s 28 on Manchester United…
But 7 is his famous number n he used to wear it when world known him as top list footballer, and also he wore 7 at england national team
