P!nk & Carey Hart Take Newborn Willow Sage To The Beach
Baby's First Outing

Last Friday P!nk and hubby Carey Hart welcomed the birth of their first born child Willow Sage and last Monday the proud new parents brought their bouncing baby girl home from the hospital. Mere moments after Willow Sage came home for the first time, P!nk and Carey bundled up their precious baby girl and took her out for her first visit to the beach! Click below for family photos of P!nk, Carey and Willow out in public together for the first time.

Pop rocker Pink didn’t waste time resting at home after giving birth to a baby girl. On Tuesday, June 7, just five days after welcoming Willow Sage Hart, the “So What” hitmaker went on a beach hike with the newborn and her husband Carey Hart, and first photos of them as a family have come out via X17Online. The pictures display the 31-year-old singer wearing workout gear and carrying a camera, while motocross husband toted around Willow in a brown baby sling. Of the outing, X17′s photographer said, “Pink looked so happy to be out of the house and to be on the beach. She loves nature and loves the ocean air and it seemed like an emotional time for them to introduce their baby to the world.”

LOVE this family. I have no doubt that not only will P!nk and Carey be great parents to Willow but they will also be very normal parents as well. I would bet good money that Willow Sage will be brought up in a home of love and acceptance and that she will be taught that she can be whatever she wants to be in life. Some new moms choose to keep their newborn babies inside, away from any potentional harm but it’s clear that P!nk will take a different stance on motherhood. I’m certain this beach outing is just the first of many outings to come. I wonder where the happy, newly expanded family will pop up next.

I LOVE that she’s not stick thin since having the baby & that she’s out in world and not caring. Most celeb moms don’t reappear in public until they have lost the baby weight.

    • lm says:

my thoughts exactly. this may be the first time i’ve seen celebrity who actually looks like a normal woman who just gave birth. love her more for this.

This is so nice for moms to see. Hollywood makes it look like we should be ready to model lingerie on the runway weeks after giving birth. I love that she is being real and just enjoying this time with her family.

    • lori says:

nice she is out and about but a newborn should not be. sorry. its like “the fourth trimester” as the saying goes. the infant is still adjusting to noise, wind, light and truly needs to sleep, eat and grow. at least wait 5 weeks.

      • Lisa says:

Seriously? I just had my second child and if I stayed home for 5 weeks, my 2 year old would have gone bonkers! Heck, I would have gone bonkers. Even with the first, we were out and about after 4 days!

      • Hannah says:

That’s ridiculous. As long as the baby is warm & comfortable, who says they have to stay indoors for five weeks? Props to Pink & Corey for acting like normal parents.

      • lori says:

from a 2010 pediatric textbook below. sorry, get your husband, parents, sister or friends to sit with the infant. nothing is worse than seeing a newborn in target.

        text:
Environment. During the first two or three weeks it is generally better for babies to remain indoors, with the room temperature about the same day and night.

My daughter was born Xmas Eve, we had her out in the stroller 2 days later for walks because there was no snow ’til January ~ fresh air is good for babies as long as they are bundled on cold days. I agree that they should be kept out of public areas like Wal-Mart and malls where germs are flying through the air, but outside is healthy!

  2. Shari says:

Ya sure she doesn’t have another baby hiding up in there? She still looks pregnant – not overwegiht – but still pregnant.

    • Scienter says:

That’s what a normal woman looks like less than a week after giving birth.

    • Hannah says:

As others have said thats what a normal person looks like after birth. The extra fat and skin doesn’t magically disappear

    • gina says:

Most woman still look pregnant when leaving the hospital. It took 9 months for the uterus to get that big, it doesn’t just shrink down seconds after giving birth. In 5 days she will be a bit smaller, 5 days after that a bit smaller, so on and so on.

I’m just so happy that she felt confidant enough to go out in public and show people what the majority of women look like postpartum…I love her.

  3. Scienter says:

Echo what others said. I’m so glad to see her out and about so soon after having her daughter. So many women take cues from celebrities about what their bodies should look like, I’m glad Pink is providing a positive, realistic example! I love her.

  4. cutitout says:

She looks like she’s not finished yet.

  5. Sara says:

    Gorgeous! I love this family!

  6. Sam says:

I love to see her out and about so early after having Willow. Like everyone else said she looks like an regular mom five days after baby. I hate seeing celebs so thin after having a baby, it puts false images in expecting minds

  7. Ama Ama says:

It’s great she has no problem walking out in public after giving birth, especially since she is a recognized person. I’ve always liked her self confidence. ^_^

I do have one concern though, I thought newborn babies weren’t suppose to be brought outside/in public places until they were I think three weeks or three months old. I’m not 100 percent sure on that so I may be wrong.

    • Charmaine says:

You don’t have to stay home for any set time after having a baby, every mum is different some like to stay in, others like to get out. I personally like to get out as much and as fast as possible, being cooped up at home and dealing with severe sleep deprivation and all the other challenges a newborn brings is not an easy task. I always found I dealt with things much better when I was forcing myself to get up, get dressed and organised and out of the house from the very start. This from a mum of 5 with #6 arriving in 11 weeks.

  8. gina says:

In regards to bringing the baby out in public so soon after birth…every person is different, but it’s mainly during the winter time that doctors advice against taking newborns into crowded areas. I have 4 kids and as soon as I’ve had each one, I jump back into the game of school drop offs, baseball and ballet practice, etc. It’s unreasonable to expect a new mother to stay home cooped up indoors for such a long period of time….talk about making the baby blues even worse for some women! It’s the beach, not some dirty bar.

  9. Jaime says:

I’m thrilled she’s out n about not giving a damn about her post baby bod! Too many woman worry about the pudge left over after having a baby. I’m due in 15days, gained the typical 30lbs and I’m sure my tummy’s gonna look bloated. Idc! ;) …willow isn’t in a crowd, she’s ok for a stroll with her rents.

  10. Hannah says:

I agree with gina. My kids were out on public straight away. I found including the baby in normal activities quickly helped the transition and the baby was better off. The pediatrician had no problem with this either.

  11. reene says:

A beach is a bad place to take a newborn! She’s nuts! Do you realize how many germs there are on beaches. Most people don’t know that Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus lives there in the sand. Take the initials people and what does that spell? MRSA- flesh eating bacterium! That kid still has a scab where it’s belly button will form, that’s all it would take- one grain of sand with the bacteria on it in the wrong place. Because she’s just given birth, she shouldn’t be there either. Both child and adult have risks for pneumonia as well. Newborns are also susceptible to whooping cough, another bacteria carried by people. I just hate it when people don’t think things through and then when something bad happens, they look for pity.

    • Erin says:

um MRSA is not flesh eating bacteria, and there are germs everywhere you go, hell Staph lives on your skin. Necrotizing fasciitis is the flesh eating bacteria btw.

    • Charmaine says:

There is nothing wrong with taking your baby out. Each to their own when you have kids of your own, YOU get to decide that kind of thing.. if you want to become a hermit incase the evil germs get you, so be it. The rest of the world doesn’t have to.

  12. angela says:

i am glad to see them as a family and she looks good for just having a baby.see hollywood we dont have to be thin some hollywood mama workout really hard she dont care and tht good

  13. Drea says:

Glad to see her out, but I agree with those who have said the baby shouldnt be. Guess I’m old school. Lol

  14. Krissy says:

With my first baby, I don’t think I left the house with him for a month! lol I’m way OCD-over-protective though :-) I love that she is out & showing off what a REAL body looks like 5 days after having a baby. I think I just fell in love with Pink.

  15. Ck says:

Oh my gosh, people are crazy over when you should take a newborn outside. Both mine were outside pretty quickly, our second was out of the house in a few days. I second what others have said, with your second you need to jump back into things or you’ll go crazy, not to mention the older kid. Willow is bundled up on an Ergo (what we use) and as long as no one is sneezing and touching the baby with germy hands, she’s fine! Being at the beach is perfect for Willow, there’s that wonderful white noise from the ocean and she’s tucked up really well against her father’s chest.

On a side note I was surprised to see Pink looking so plump after delivery. I’m not knocking her, no way, she’s perfect… But how big did she get when she was pregnant? She’ll be looking supper fit in no time I’m sure, just because she’s Pink and she’s motivated that way.

Beautiful family. Glad the two of them stuck together.
