Considering all of the media promo that Shania has been doing (for her new reality TV show and book), I was very surprised to not only learn that Shania is releasing new music … but that this new single was already available for purchase on iTunes. Here is our first taste of Shania‘s new song Today Is Your Day:
I’m not immediately taken with this new single but I am very excited that Shania is releasing new music. As much as I loathe the way her ex-husband Mutt Lange treated her, he really is a music genius. I’m very curious to hear what Shania‘s music will be like without him. Too short of a sample to tell. Sounds like it might “liven up” as it goes along? I do like her voice.
If you watch her show, they’ve basically shown the whole process of her recording this song, and you can listen to the whole entire thing on there. It’s a good song but I’m already sick of listening to it because they played it so much on the show.
