Last month we got to see the first photos from the SoCal set of the hit Showtime series Dexter, which returns to the air this Fall with its 6th season. A couple of weeks ago, we got to see the first promo video for the show. Today, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly magazine, we get our first look at the first crime scene from Dexter season 6. Waiting for season 6 of Dexter is murder, but here’s something to tide you over — a first look at an image from the first episode! (We pause for a SPOILER ALERT.) Witness blood splatter analyst/serial killer Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) squatting by a stitched-up corpse while preparing an evidence bag of… baby snakes? “That is the first mysterious kill linked to Professor Gellar that’s going to cross Dexter’s path and let him know that he’s up against a killer, the likes of which he hasn’t seen before,” exec producer Scott Buck tells EW, referencing the charismatic religious studies professor that will be played by Edward James Olmos. “This is a person who’s sending out a message, and Dexter can’t wait to figure out what that message is.”

OMG … love this photo! Dexter is my fave show on the air right now and I am really excited for a whole new season of the show. The addition of Edward James Olmos to the cast is GREAT news, IMHO, and I am very much looking forward to seeing what he will bring to the world of Dexter. This week’s issue of EW magazine contains another promo photo from Dexter season 6, so make sure you pick up a copy. I am a longtime subscriber to the mag so I’ll be watching my mailbox.
