Lindsay Lohan Vows To Remain Clean & Sober
Decides to Attend A Tequila Party in Celebration

In the wake of Lindsay Lohan‘s latest brush with the law, that resulted in NO jailtime but 3 years of probation, L. Lo has reportedly vowed to turn over a new leaf and stay CLEAN and SOBER so that she will remain TOTALLY out of trouble with the law. In completely unrelated news, Lindsay spent part of her weekend partying with BFF Marilyn Manson (of all people) at the DeLeon Tequila Two Year Anniversary party at the Chateau Marmont last night … because that is the BEST way to stay completely clean and sober, apparently.

Lindsay Lohan plans to stay on the straight and narrow for the REST OF HER LIFE — telling friends, she’s serious this time … no drugs, no booze, no breaking the law … ever again … PERIOD. Sources close to Lindsay tell TMZ, the actress had an epiphany after her sentencing — and is completely at peace with the judge’s decision … community service, fines, counseling, shoplifters alternative class … the whole package. Technically, Lindsay is REQUIRED to stay sober during her formal probation — which ends after she completes her 480 hours of community service — but we’re told, it doesn’t matter … Lindsay’s committed to sobriety for the long haul. One thing … Lindsay does take issue with the three-year probation itself — telling friends she doesn’t think she deserves it — but que sera sera … she has learned to accept her fate. Bottom line — her friends are adamant … Lindsay has learned her lesson once and for all.

Bless her poor, little heart. Trust me, I would LOVE for Lindsay to seriously embrace sobriety and turn her life around but it’s silly for her to think she can stay clean and sober and still hang out at things like tequila events without falling sway to temptation. I honestly fear for her life and personally believe that the only way she will truly clean up her life is to actually clean up her life. That would require no parties, no situations where alcohol and/or drugs are easily available. Do I believe she got wasted on tequila at the DeLeon party last night? No. But was the opportunity available to her? Yes, absolutely. As much as I’d love to believe that Lindsay has finally learned her lesson and will really work toward staying sober, I just cannot. This kind of lip-service has been paid many, many, many times before. Actions speak louder than words … and it’s gonna take some time for her to actually prove that she means what she says. In the long run, I hope Lindsay Lohan is successful … but there is no way I believe she is truly serious about cleaning up her life … at least not yet.

Gag, she is disgusting. All I am saying if she breaks the law again and doesn’t get SERIOUS jail time I am going to start a petition!

Yeah, i actually would love to see a Lohan-less Pink is the New Blog (and all other websites) but I clicked to read this story so I see why bloggers are writing about it. It’s just frustrating to see someone so damn entitled and not a bit sorry about her actions (in my opinion). I would love for her to clean up and stay out of the media, but since I know that will NEVER happen, the second best thing is just going to train myself to not read about her.

So, how about those Cowboys, huh? lol

  2. Nate says:

I think she means with drugs not alcohol. She was never really an alcoholic just young and stupid and unlucky.

    • Be a little inappropriate Jadedkitten says:

You’re kidding right. 2 DUI’s and god knows how many scram bracelets later and you don’t think she’s an alcoholic.

  3. Be a little inappropriate Jadedkitten says:

“I’m going to stay clean and sober” and then she goes to a party that’s specifically for alcohol… Yeah she’s doomed i hate to say that, but she is she’s not even at the point where she’s pretending to take her sobriety seriously.

  4. VV says:

I give her six months. Six months and she’ll either be in trouble with the law again, or she’ll be found face down in a gutter, slurring her words and acting belligerently.

I think people tend to be a little judgmental…just because you go to a party celebrating tequilla doesn’t mean you drink it…you can stay clean/sober and still go to a restaurant or a party etc that is serving alcohol. Just because you’re in recovery, doesn’t mean you have to become a hermit.

    • Trent Trent says:

@SuzieB — There is no way that a person in sobriety hanging out at an alcohol party is a good idea. No way.

      • SuzieB says:

I’m so not saying it’s a great idea and you should go hang in a bar or liquor store every day, but it happens. You can’t shut yourself off from social events etc. because of your recovery. Part of being in recovery is dealing with your addiction in every day situations. People who smoke are still around others who smoke and have to learn to keep “saying no”… it’s the same with alcoholics etc. You’re not sent to a leper like colony ya know? I’m not saying it’s smart for her so early in her recovery, but don’t think she should be criticized so strongly for this.

      • Trent Trent says:

@SuzieB — Yes, if you are serious about your sobriety, you DO shut yourself off from places with available temptation. It takes years for addicts to be around temptation without succumbing. There is no way I can take anyone seriously who says they will stay clean and sober so soon after multiple stints in rehab and still frequent parties where alcohol isn’t only available but is the REASON for the event.

    • Nicola says:

@SuzieB – Really? There’s a world between “becoming a hermit” and not attending night after night at clubs and parties specifically celebrating alcohol. There are bazillions of social events that she doesn’t have shut herself off from – movies, sporting events, theatre, friend’s houses, restaurants, etc., etc., etc., etc. She consistently chooses the parties like this one, and that’s just dumb.

I’ve got nothing left for this girl. I have a crazy ass sister and I’m going to adopt the same attitude towards Linds as I do toward her. I’m not going to hope for anything…just be grateful when things are good and wait for the freight train of crap that is more than likely to show up any minute.

  7. SuzieB says:

Totally agree – Lindsay is not there yet to really be putting herself in this type of situation, but don’t like when people think recovering addicts should never be around alcohol again. It’s unrealistic expectation. And isolating. Once you have your sobriety under control, you learn to deal with these situations and be able to control your temptations. I think Lindsay needs people to help her make better decisions about what public parties/situations she should be in. Needs better management than her trainwreck mother etc. And maybe a sponsor to help her make better decisions/choices.

    • Trent Trent says:

@SuzieB — “I think Lindsay needs people to help her make better decisions about what public parties/situations she should be in. Needs better management than her trainwreck mother etc. And maybe a sponsor to help her make better decisions/choices.” Yes, on this account we can absolutely agree. The girl needs lots of help.

      • SuzieB says:

@Trent – yey!! Glad we agree on something! :) I think just a sore spot with me!! Sorry!! :) just hate people assuming you can’t handle watching someone drink without goin on a monumental shameful bender! We’re not all the trainwrecks Lindsay has been! xo

      • Trent Trent says:

@SuzieB — I would never DREAM of making Lindsay representative of other people dealing with addiction. Each case is unique but Lindsay is in a league of her own. She is so far from this “clean and sober” life she claims to want. I just don’t see how she can get there without drastically changing her social behavior.

  8. How does that old “Thompsson Twins” song go?? Lies lies lies yeah, they’re gonna get you, lies lies lies yeah, they wont forget you! hahaha

  9. Tracy says:

Well apparently Lindsay was seen this weekend taking shots. So yeah. She will never change.

  10. Panti Christ says:

Didn’t she used to live there when she was drinking and doing cocaine?

  11. Eva says:

Just point to Lohan and the way she got special treatment for her crimes and use it everybody for your own defense. If it’s good enough for her, it’s good enough for everyone else who has done what she’s done.

Yeah, what this girl has in store for her is death. No one takes this or her seriously or shall I say the co-dependent justice system. Jails? (not happening) Institutions? (perhaps she’ll do too much acid or from her crazy behavior)and death (I sincerely hope not, but I’m preparing for it)that’s what practicing addicts have to look forward to PERIOD. I’m 24 years in recovery.

    • Eva says:

Now I’ve read everyone’s comments. People, she has to have a moment of clarity and when then moment comes she has to decide what she’s going to do. I have a feeling that she has had many. Perhaps, the moment at this point has left and she’ll . . . Well you know. All the experience I’ve had with the disease of addiction from myself and others is until she’s dead and in the ground we can all pray/hope for change.
