Back in April we learned that little popstarlet Selena Gomez recorded a few songs for her new album that were written by Pop Queen Britney Spears and today we get our first look at the cover artwork for Gomez‘s new disc. Selena posted the image on her official Twitter profile along with the release date of June 28 (the same day that Beyoncé is releasing her new album 4). Apparently the album was supposed to be titled Otherside but the name When the Sun Goes Down ended up winning the end. I kinda love the 1920′s flapper thing she’s got going on … it makes her look a bit mature. I’m not at all familiar with Selena‘s music but I am really intrigued by the fact that she recorded a few Britney songs. I might have to pick up her disc on June 28 to hear the tracks. As for this album cover, what do you think? Do we like?

I feel like I am looking at a picture from Dynasty! She looks really cute thou.
I like it. It’s nice to see that it isn’t raunchy or shocking, which is really refreshing. It seems like she knows who she is and isn’t trying to prove anything (unlike another Disney girl). Whatever happened to album or single’s artwork evoking something other than sexuality or showcasing a headshot. A little creativity is nice. Shoot, even Lady Gaga’s single artwork with her head on a bike, I thought was creative, even though it personally kinda creeped me out.
Gotta love my fellow Texas girl! :) Her music is cute and pretty enjoyable to listen to. Finally nice to see an artist KEEP her good girl image.

She looks beautiful. I get an egyptian princess mixed with a flapper vibe from it. Love the dripping in diamonds effect.
I love Selena she can do no wrong but I was kinda hoping for the bare faced simple hair beachy thing she had in the “Who Says” video, but shes lovely any way!
I just can’t help but love her. She is so adorable and a very talented actress. Her music is great pop music, too. Very catchy. I’m loving Who Says lately.
