Filming continues in Florence, Italy on the 4th season of MTV‘s Jersey Shore and yesterday castmember Deena Nicole Cortese almost DIED! Well, maybe not died … but she did end up dangling off a bridge with only Sammi Sweetheart Giancola to keep her from falling to the river below … a precarious position to be in, for sure. It’s unclear how Deena went from being on the bridge to hanging off the bridge but I’m sure the ridiculous scene will play out perfectly when the new season of JS airs on MTV later this year. They’ve barely been in Italy for a week. But wherever the Jersey Shore crew goes, trouble is bound to follow. Today was a case in point as Deena Cortese decided to climb over a bridge in Florence – and almost fell into the River Arno below. The reality star is seen here apparently slipping as she clambers over the stone structure while her co-star Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola grabs on to her for dear life. Despite being banned from drinking in the street by the Mayor of Florence, it seems the gang are still intent on behaving badly.

Ugh … this is exactly the sort of idiotic behavior I was afraid the cast of Jersey Shore would unleash upon the people of Italy. WTF? was this moron doing hanging off a bridge in the first place? You don’t think Deena was dumb enough to get talked into this dangerous stunt by Sammi Sweetheart, do you? I wonder how far these fools will go just to get attention for their TV show? Let’s hope not so far as to end up in serious injury or worse :/
