Earlier this month, after all casting drama had been settled, we learned finally that Simon Cowell selected original judge Cheryl Cole (from the original UK version of The X Factor) to join music mogul LA Reid and former American Idol judge Paula Abdul to help him judge the US version of The X Factor. Singer Nicole Scherzinger had been hired to co-host the show with Brit Steve Jones. TMZ is now reporting that Cheryl is OUT as X Factor judge and has been replaced on the judging panel by Nicole. According to their sources, Cheryl‘s thick British accent is the reason she has been dropped as a judge because producers feared the US audience would not be able to understand her!

Producers now want Cheryl to return to the UK version of the show — but according to sources, Cheryl’s royally pissed over how this situation was handled … and may sever ties with “X-Factor” entirely. With Cheryl out, Steve Jones will be the only host on the show — which debuts in September — while Nicole Scherzinger fills the open seat on the judging panel. Calls to Simon Cowell still haven’t been returned.
OMG … wow! This is a HUGE shake-up! TMZ very rarely gets these sorts of stories wrong so I tend to believe this report … which is a huge bummer because I love Cheryl Cole. If it were just a matter of poor chemistry, I think I wouldn’t be surprised … but the accent thing, man, that sucks. I’ve heard Cheryl Cole speak (on X Factor UK and in various interviews) and I never found it too difficult to decipher. I’m sure we’ll be hearing more about this soon … news like this cannot stay quiet for long and an official statement will have to come shortly. But … dang … Cheryl‘s out and Nicole‘s in as X Factor judge. Crazy, right?
YES YES YES! I don’t care for Nicole, but I can’t stand Cheryl! A miracle happened and I couldn’t be happier.
Nicole I very much like: she can sing, dance, is beautiful and has that something in her that captures one’s attention. Paula Abdul ditto, and let’s not forget she has great eye for talent; I still remember back the time when she ‘discovered’ Jennifer Lopez and gave her opportunity to prove her talent. Cheryl Cole on the other hand can not sing, can not dance well–and as for the looks, I think she is ‘made’, not a natural beauty. (btw, that’s why she never gets photographed from the front, always from a more flattering side-angle) I think the only reason she is on TV judging people, of which she is not qualified for, is that she married a footballer who cheated on her and thus her face and her name got widely known. (ever noticed that divorced wives of footballers always keep their husband’s name?)So, I’m very happy they put Nicole on the board.
That’s a load of bullshit. Loads of people want to improve their looks, and just because Cheryl Cole has gone and done it it doesn’t make her fake.
Also.. People like her for her personality, we know she’s not a particularly talented dancer or singer, but she has the guts to go up there and do it because she believes in herself and probably couldn’t give a toss what everyone else thinks. She’s got the guts that nobody else has. Quit the hating and get over it.
I think many people like my self did not like Cheryl Cole personality, that maybe the reason she got the sack,if you want to find some real heroes then you should look no further than the armed forces fighting in Afghanistan.Lisa Jade Head had real guts not a jumped up singer have a tantrum following following being sacked. I have nothing to get over as it was not me Simon got rid of, it seems Cheryl Cole maybe heading back to her X and a WAG status so we probably will not be seeing much of her, that will suit me fine.
