British trainwreck Amy Winehouse is back in rehab again … for, like, the 10 millionth time it seems. It’s been a while since she’s been hospitalized due to her drug problems but it’s really not that surprising, sadly. If Lindsay Lohan is back under house arrest, then it must be time for Amy Winehouse to go back to rehab. Oy!
A representative for Amy Winehouse says the singer has checked into a treatment program in London. Spokesman Chris Goodman said Friday that the 27-year-old songstress wants to be sure she’s ready to perform in Europe this summer. The rep says she’ll stay at the clinic on “doctors’ advice.” It was not clear what treatment she’ll get at the Priory Clinic. It offers treatment for a range of psychiatric problems, as well as drug and alcohol addiction. Winehouse’s breakthrough disc, 2006′s “Back to Black,” won her five Grammy Awards and helped her achieve worldwide stardom, but her music has been overshadowed by drug use and legal run-ins. Winehouse has not released much music since, but she performed a short tour in Brazil in January.
It is no secret that poor Amy is an utter mess, gripped in the claw of addiction … but if she is seeking medical help for her addictions then we can only hope for her success. Addicts have to quit over and over and over again … and keep quitting so that they can stay clean and sober. As tragic as this sounds, at least she is getting help again. Amy, stay in rehab for as long as you can girl. Save your own life, please.

I was just thinking yesterday that we hadn’t heard about her in a while. Sad. She’s such a great performer. I guess deep down she doesn’t want to be clean and sober.
Poor girl.. I wouldn’t compare her to LLO tho… I don’t think Amy is trying to get media attention no matter what, besides, she doesn’t think she’s above the law. I think Amy is really sick and every damage she makes is collateral, unlike Lindsay who is also sick but believes she should get away with anything regarless of the law because of her “celebrity status”. I don’t feel bad for Lindsay, but I do feel bad for Amy and truly hope she gets better, she’s such a talented person, it would really be a shame to just waste it all.
