Rumor has it that Twilight co-stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have decided to end the romantic relationship that they don’t like to talk about very much publicly. According to a new report, the couple have decided to go on “a break” and temporarily end their romance. Because the couple do not like to talk about their private life (at all), I wouldn’t expect any sort of official confirmation but … do you think it’s possible that R. Pattz and K. Stew are really dunzo?

THEY play vampire lovers on screen – but it looks like the sun may have set on their real-life affair. Yep, the odd couple – Robert Pattinson and girlfriend Kristen Stewart – are believed to have split. Or, in showbiz speak, they’re “on a break”. Right. Apparently all the life’s been sucked out of the Twilight stars’ relationship, and they’ve been on the rocks since February at least. At the weekend, K-Stew had been expected to attend the Country Music Awards in Las Vegas with her lover. They both had time off but, as with January’s Golden Globe Awards, R-Patz turned up on his own. The pair are currently filming the final installment of the Twilight saga, Breaking Dawn, in Vancouver. But Robert has been away from the set on a busy promotional tour for his flick with Reese Witherspoon, Water for Elephants. Last night a studio source said: “Things have been a bit rocky for a while. They both have hectic work schedules, Rob in particular at the moment, and their phone calls were getting fewer and further between. They started to only see each other on set and began to drift apart until a general apathy developed. The excuses why they couldn’t meet up basically got weaker and weaker, and Rob figured they should officially cool things off and have some time to figure out what they each want. There have been a few tears but the pair remain friendly. Kristen is hopeful of a reconciliation once Rob has finished promotion for his latest movie. But as things stand, they’re on a break and just mates.” Last night, a spokesperson for teen heartthrob actor Robert declined to comment on the split.

HMMM. Considering how long it took for this couple to talk about their relationship, particularly because they hid it so well, I don’t know that I necessarily believe that they are really broken up … or, at least, that they broke up over bizzy schedules. The pair have been separated by work before, I don’t see how that could be the reason for the split this time around. Still … things happen and couples just … fizzle. I honestly never really believed that their relationship would extend beyond the life of The Twilight Saga film franchise. I always thought they’d break up after they finished work on the final movie. What do y’all think … do you think Rob and Kristen are really dunzo or are they just going thru a rough patch right now?
