Last week, Lindsay Lohan crashed a NYC press conference announcement of a new biopic titled Gotti: Three Generations in the hopes of nabbing the role of Victoria Gotti in the film. It turns out that negotiations for Lindsay to appear in the film fell apart and she was offered no role at all. Lindsay went back to the production company and begged for a role and ended up getting the minor role of John Gotti Jr.‘s daughter-in-law Kim. The up-side is that Lindsay got a job, yay! The down-side, the job is a minor one that prolly won’t be winning her any awards.

First, her hopes of playing Linda Lovelace in the Inferno biopic were extinguished. Now, Lindsay Lohan can say fugetaboutit to a role as Victoria Gotti in Gotti: Three Generations, starring John Travolta. Despite looking remarkably like the crime family daughter — and attending a press conference detailing the project last week — Lohan is no longer in talks to appear in the film, a rep for Gotti confirms to EW. Though no reasons were given as to why Lohan and Gotti parted ways, producer Marc Fiore told People that her possible trial for grand theft felony has no bearing on the falling out: “We just couldn’t reach terms … We are going to meet with other people [for the role].”
TMZ has learned … Lindsay Lohan WILL in fact be in the upcoming “Gotti: Three Generations” after she was previously dropped from the film — and she hustled to get her spot back … ALL BY HERSELF. Executive Producer Marc Fiore tells us, Lindsay is no longer going to play Victoria Gotti … but instead will take on the role of John Gotti Jr.’s daughter-in-law Kim — the role once considered for Kim Kardashian. The turn of events comes hours after Fiore pulled the plug on Lindsay over disagreements with her management — but we’re told Lindsay REALLY wants to be in the film … and personally patched things up with the producer when she heard her people were being difficult.
UGH … poor Lindsay has now been reduced to picking up Kim Kardashian‘s scraps? Eek! That is sad. But, a job’s a job … and, as they say, there are no small roles, there are only small actors. Let’s hope that Lindsay‘s prowess in talking people into giving her work will be advantageous to her in the long run. Let’s remember, just because she gets a movie role doesn’t mean it’ll be a success. I wish her all the best, I really do. She has a lot of work ahead of her to convince people that she’s worth watching.
What do y’all think about this? Will Lindsay sink or swim in her new Gotti role?

It’s sad, cause she’s only 24, but I don’t ever seeing her getting her shit together.
I can only hope that being in this small role might rekindle her love of acting and maybe she’ll try harder to get good roles and keep herself in line? Please oh please…
Lindsay (everyone, really) – just know that it’s okay to get into things slowly. A job well done will speak for itself and lead to better things later. Just take the steps on a path, right!?
We all know the girl has talent. It is such a shame that she has wasted so many years getting into trouble. There’s no telling where she would be in her career now if she had stayed on the straight and narrow. Girl could have a a house full of awards by now. Baby steps are great…just hope she stays on the right path.
a minor role might not be a bad way to go. sure a lead role would have been great but now instead of just jumping into a major role…let her work her way back, build her confidence and get her rep back up
With her mothers ‘skillful management’, pretty soon the girl will have to pay the producers just to get a walk-on roll. It’s past time for a management change!
I think it shows some maturity on her part to personally patch things up after the deal fell through…she could be sitting behind her computer (or blackberry or whatever) snorting coke and tweeting about how unfair they are, but she kept her mouth shut (for once) and actually did some real work to fix things up…sounds to me like a (albeit rare) job well done for miss Lindsay
I totally agree!! A management change is in order.
HOW EMBARRASSING.
hate to say it, but i TOTALLY CALLED IT!!!!
but, at least she still got a role… even if it’s a smaller part. we’ll see if she actually gets as far as filming it though! i’m curious to see how this trial thing is going to work out… good luck! ;)
“we’ll see if she actually gets as far as filming it though!”
You read my mind. Place your bets…
She will be far too busy snorting coke/pills to show up for work… again.
I really wish her the best. Maybe this small role is what she needs to get back on track.
