This week a new paternity claim have been made against actor Ryan Phillippe by his model ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp who claims that he is the father of her incubating baby. Today we are hearing that Ryan is not only willing to take a paternity test to determine if he the father of Alexis‘s baby but will also step up to provide for the child should it be proven to be his. Ryan was all smiles here in Hollywood yesterday when he was photographed out in public (which is a very rare occurrence … her, the smiling, not the being out in public) so either he is really confident that he is not the father or he is really looking forward to being a dad again.
Ryan Phillippe will “gladly” take a DNA test to determine if he’s the baby daddy of a woman he had been seeing … this according to sources directly connected to Ryan. We’re told Ryan will not submit to the DNA test until the baby is born. There are prenatal paternity tests, but there’s a slight risk of miscarriage and Ryan does not want to take the chance. Our sources say Ryan will step up and provide support for Alexis Knapp’s unborn baby, provided it is indeed his. Although there are reports Ryan and Alexis were boyfriend/girlfriend, we’re told that was never the case. They had dated for a while but it was never serious. The baby is due in June.
You may recall that Ryan and Alexis were doing the do last Summer and were last spotted together here on the blog back in June. So, unless Ryan hooked up with Alexis more recently, he has nothing at all to worry about. As we know, Ryan has been romantically linked to actress Amanda Seyfriend for the past few months … so, yeah, it’s sounding like he will turn out NOT to be the babydaddy.
It is always shocking to me people don’t take precautions to not get prego or worse an STD. Hello, safe sex people!!

I’m feeling this! I don’t mean the pregnancy or paternity thing (which is all fine), but Ryan P is handling this in a manner I respect. This should function as an example of the way to deal with this sort of thing. Good for him.
For what it is worth, I’ve had a long running hmmm thing about today’s birth control pill. Never thought it would come up here, but the current era’s pill is so so so low dose I’ve had no less than three friends on the bcp get pregnant anyway. This did not happen years ago.
On another note, Ryan Phillipe is also the father of my baby.
