Last August we learned that the nearly invisible couple made up of Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen decided to end their relationship … and then a few months later in November we heard that the couple had gotten back together … and then went back to being invisible. Today a representative for the couple is insisting that Rachel and Hayden are still together after a report came out this week that claimed that they had broken up again. Because I know this is press stopping news, I simply had to pass along the good news to all y’all.
Rachel Bilson’s representative has moved quickly to dismiss a report suggesting the actress and her “Jumper” co-star Hayden Christensen have ended their on/off romance for good. The actors reunited earlier in 2011 after calling off their engagement on August 2010 amid rumors they were struggling to maintain a long-distance relationship. A source has told Us Weekly the romance is over, insisting, “They’re done this time…” But Bilson’s rep claims the insider is very much mistaken. She tells Celebuzz, “There is no truth to this, Rachel and Hayden are still dating.” Rachel has started dating Hayden after they met on the set of their 2008 film “Jumper”. In August 2010, after words spread in mid-June that the couple were taking a break from each other, a representative for Rachel came forth with the announcement that the former star of “The O.C.” and her actor fiance have indeed called off their engagement. They got back together three months after the announcement.
I find it so odd that Rachel and Hayden are never, ever seen together in public (except for the occasional pop-up once or twice a year) and yet are so adamant about making sure that people know they are together. I can totally understand why a celebrity couple would want to keep their relationship quiet and private — I can even commend a couple for being successful in that endeavor. But it doesn’t make much sense to me why a couple who doesn’t seem to care about being seen as a couple would insist that the world know they are together. I’ve always found the romantic affiliation between these two strange … but … if it works for them, then good for them. Happy to know that they’re still together … I guess.

Just because Hollywood, or fans, don’t SEE a couple in a while (boy do I envy their ability to keep private) and just because they are not smiling or lovey-dovey, does NOT mean they are not in a relationship. They seem very much alike and seem to derive much happiness from each other’s company. I would like to see them wind up together but then we are talking Hollywood guys, not any other of the 49 states. California has it’s OWN rules that definitely do NOT line up with the rest of the country! I only know I love seeing HAYDEN on that big screen and will continue to see everyone of his movies and that goes for Rachel as well. Hayden was born to be a movie star, he’s just one of those actors you can not keep your eyes off of! I’m for you Hayden and Rachel, hang in there!
