Movieweb caught up with Dexter star Michael C. Hall and they managed to learn from him that the upcoming 6th season of the show will begin filming in May! It’s kinda crazy to me how it seemed like just yesterday that we were talking about the season 5 finale … and now we’re already at the point where the new season will begin filming. Happy, happy days ahead ;D
We recently had a chance to catch up with the actor who plays Dexter, Michael C. Hall while he was out promoting his new independent film Peep World, which opens in theaters on March 25th and also stars Sarah Silverman, and Rainn Wilson. We took the opportunity to talk to Michael C. Hall a little bit about Dexter and asked the actor when he begins shooting the sixth season of the series. “Not until May but it’s definitely happening.” We finished up by asking Michael C. Hall if he is excited to return to work on the series and revisit the character again. “Yeah I’m excited. Doing something for this long is a crazy proposition but with this at least it continues to evolve.”
As you may recall, back in December we learned that MCH and his Dexter co-star Jennifer Carpenter filed for divorce … so the upcoming 6th season will be the couple’s first time working together since their split. While I have no doubt that each actor is a pro, capable of not letting their personal lives affect their professional lives … it still has to be kinda crappy to have to work on a day to day basis with your ex-wife. Still, I am very VERY excited for the upcoming season of Dexter. I assume we’ll be hearing shortly about which guest star(s) will be appearing on the show. Woot!!

FINALLY! ive been going through some serious withdrawl. the closest thing to Dexter ive had since the last season ended….is my dogs vet (serious, the guy talks just like dexter…its creepy)
I wonder if he goes around euthanizing killer dogs. ;D

Trent, you’re a Dexter addict, right? My best friend got me into it and I watched the whole show in about a month (not kidding)… she thinks this will be the show’s last season. Do you think it will be?

OMG this is a great show. I started watching it last weekend and got completely addicted, so much that I watched the last episode of the 2nd season yesterday. That is 2 full seasons in less than a week!!!!
Please give us more of Dexter for a long time i ve miss him so much, im a huge fan, i cant even sleep after knowing he is coming back…. i love u dexter!!!!!
My husband and I watched 5 seasons in 2 weeks (some days 5 episodes per day). Very GOOD quality acting, well written story and developed characters. Entertainment well done!! Cannot wait to see season 6!

Me and my wife watched the 5 seasons in jus a week..it was jus a whole week of dexter..cant wait for season 6 and i just hope we get to see more episodes and season every year..

I watched all 5 seasons in 4 weeks…..I took 2 weeks off in between season 4 and season 5 because i was emotionally traumatized by Rita’s death. However, I am extremely anxious to start season 6
All the seasons were great , i liked second and fourth . Acting was great . Its one of the shows that changed my life

When does season six start?

So I went to the local Walmart to buy a roll of duct tape for a task around the house. I placed the roll on the counter and the cashier asked, “Did you find everything okay?” (with a smug look) I simply replied, “Yes I did! Thank you!” She then replied, “Are you sure you didn’t need some trash bags to go with this Dexter?” With the best straight face I could hold I said, “No, I just ran out of saran wrap so I have to make do with the tape!” BEST TIME AT WALMART EVER!
My husband and I just finished up season five tonight :( we watched all five seasons in 4 weeks. We are going to go through Dexter withdrawal for sure!!!
