First Look: Adrianne Palicki In Action As Wonder Woman
Hurrah!! They Changed the Costume for the Better!!!

A couple of weeks ago we got our first look at actress Adrianne Palicki in costume as the new Wonder Woman and by pretty much all accounts, the new costume was met with revulsion and extreme disappointment (tho, original Wonder Woman Lynda Carter had very nice things to say). A few days later, Palicki showed up on the Wonder Woman set in costume as Diana Prince but there was no sight of the new WW costume. Today we get to see the new Wonder Woman in action as Wonder Woman and I am ELATED to reveal that the costume has been changed … and looks 10,000 times better!! See the photos below.

You may recall that we got to see a photo HERE that was created by an industrious Wonder Woman fan that showed how cool the new costume would look if some of the colors were changed. This new version of the costume, featured above on the WW set, utilizes those color changes!!!

The image on the left is the fan version color manipulation, the image on the right is the newly updated official costume (which you can compare to the tacky, cheap-looking costume we were shown HERE). Very clearly the folks at Warner Bros. realized that the costume looks much better with this color scheme and they decided to change up the outfit. Ye gods, Wonder Woman DOES look really good in this costume. I don’t even mind the shiny red top …. the muted and dark blue pants and the red boots make all the difference in the world. Yes, I’m still concerned about the script … but it looks like the folks producing this show are paying attention to fan feedback. Here’s hoping they will continue to listen to fans and will give us a really great new Wonder Woman TV series.

Do you love this or what?

  2. Meghan says:

That corset top is not practical for running!

  3. krissy says:

    Dark pants look much better!

  4. Moo says:

    .. It looks the same?

    • Trent Trent says:

@Moo — No, it’s deffo been changed. The original version had shiny light blue latex tights and blue boots. The muted dark blue pants and red boots make a big difference.

  5. Winona says:

Red boots = 100% improvement! Love the stars along the sides of the pants, too.

What’s that I just heard? Oh, it’s a small bit of hope creeping in. I hope they are reading and paying attention to fan remarks across the board. (fingers and toes crossed)

  7. Nate says:

U G L Y bitch you aint got no eligible. haha I hope they use some hollywood magic.

  8. Harlie says:

It’s still awful. I think her boobs might be worse then the costume tho.

It looks like they tried to make the bustier a bit more reasonable, but they haven’t gone far enough. I’m sure they are arguing that having her breasts look like they may pop out at any sec might be good for the ratings, but I beg y’all to remember the Deanna Troi character in Star Trek: TNG, when they tried early on to sex her out first in a minidress, then in that cracked out blue flowy thing, then in the purple spandex suit before the producers/costumers finally realized that they had to follow the logic the show had set out of her being an Federation officer. In this case the producers can either fully invest in the idea of WW as a powerful, tough superhero or as a sex kitten. I say get real and fix the bustier so we can watch the show.

I notice that they also lost the glossy red lipstick. I really like Palicki in these shots–she is going to be great in this!

It does look much better, but still too cumbersome. It needs to be more sleek. Lose the clunkiness of the gold emblems at the top and hips – it would be hella difficult to run with those things bouncing around. The lasso is a bit too big…just bring it down to two or three loops. The bustier needs redesign all together. I would feel uncomfortable watching actions shots with the current one afraid that any second we would get slippage.

you have to admit tho, she looks HOT!

  12. CL says:

Its not sleek. It looks like shes gonna pop out her top. And it still looks tacky to me. Dont mess with originals, people. Those are usually the best

  13. Liz says:

Her boobs look absolutely ridiculous. How can you fight crime and worry about a wardrobe malfunction at the same time? BOOOOOOOO. They should have got the original costume out of mothballs, and found the actress simply by seeing who squeezes into it the best. This costume is NOT hot. It’s luke warm.

Can we talk for a moment about the stylized version vs. the real thing in action.

Look at how they photoshopped her waist, bust, hips and legs. She looks like an over-developed Barbie Wonder Woman, for goodness’ sake!

Now look at the pics from the real thing – her chest is smaller, her waist wider, her hips and legs are thicker. She is one GORGEOUS girl who CLEARLY does not need photo-shopping…so why do these studios insist on doing it?

Ms. Palicki is no tiny waif, and that’s why I like her! Why can’t we celebrate how she looks in REAL LIFE (albeit in a Wonder Woman costume…ha ha)

BTW, I like the changes. Darker blue – much more flattering!

  15. d@redev1l says:

Wait. The heels are different. I liked the high heels… But talking about the costume itself, is it just me noticing that the golden parts are so plastic-looking? The costume of the 70′s was shiny and cool. This golden spray plastic looks cheap to me. And I am not too fond of the shape of the tiara either. I also have to admit that I was a huge fan of Linda Carter’s WW

  16. jessica says:

that is an AWFUL costume. It’s completely ridiculous looking.

  17. perdiz says:

while i am extremely happy they fixed the fugly pants and brought back the red boots they should now focus on the fact that home girls boobs are going to pop out at any moment. also, that cant be comfy. it doesnt look like they gave her any support in that top, methinks a man created it.

  18. amee says:

The update is much better, but I really do not like the fact that those boobs look like they are about to pop out.

  19. How is the boob situation different? says:

Linda Carter always looked like she was going to fall out of her top as well and nobody seemed to have a problem with that. It’s the same with the heels…um, she has to run in those. I don’t think Linda’s boots had a very high heel either. And while they can edit out her boobs coming out of her top she can get hurt if she falls while running in those heels.

    • Trent Trent says:

@How … — I agree. The top of this costume is very similar to the one that Lynda Carter wore. I LOVE the costume the way it looks now. It’s updated but still similar to the original costume. Now, I’m really curious to see actual footage from the show to ease my concerns about the script.

  20. Lorem ipsum says:

Love the new bulletproof bracelets! But, they will require much more tinfoil to recreate at home…

    • Trent Trent says:

@Lorem ipsum — OMG, tinfoil WW bracelets! I know a … er … friend of mine who used to play with tinfoil WW bracelets. He, er, they really loved them ;)
