‘Two And A Half Men’ Has Been Canceled
Fed Up With Charlie Sheen's Actions, Producers Decide To End the Show

Charlie Sheen‘s erratic, uncontrollable and dangerous behavior has finally led to the cancellation of his wildly successful CBS TV series Two and a Half Men. For the past few weeks, ever since details of Sheen‘s drug-fueled porno party came to light, Charlie Sheen has been walking a fine line with his CBS bosses who have been trying to justify continuing production of the show even tho Sheen is very obviously to everyone ill equipped to remain sober and, well, sane. This actions this week tho have proved too outrageous for the CBS execs to ignore … as a result, the show has been canceled … and Sheen is pissed and telling the world about it!

The events leading up to the decision to cancel the show started out with Charlie Sheen‘s offer (threat?) to literally fight his Two and a Half Men boss Charlie Lorre in a UFC fighting octagon — an offer that Sheen made while randomly vacationing in the Bahamas:

Charlie Sheen tells TMZ … he wants to fight “Two and a Half Men” creator Chuck Lorre in an octagon … and, according to Charlie, “If he wins, then he can leave MY show!” Charlie is still ensconced in the Bahamas, having what he calls “a grand old time.” Charlie said, “I violently hate Chaim Levine (Chuck Lorre). He’s a stupid, stupid little man and a pussy punk that I’d never want to be like.” Charlie adds, “That’s me being polite.” Charlie is scoffing at all the people around him, saying, “All these guys told me to ‘clean it up.’ Well this is me cleaning it the fuck up.” Charlie, who insists he’s sober, says, “All I want is to bring my family together, and I have to deal with all this B.S. politics.” And as if that’s not enough, Charlie says “That piece of shit [Lorre] took money out of my pocket, my family’s pocket, and, most importantly, my second family — my crew’s pocket.” Charlie adds, “You can tell him [Lorre] one thing. I own him.”

As a result of this outburst, Lorre and CBS felt no other recourse than to cancel production of the show for the rest of this TV season:

TMZ has learned “Two and a Half Men” will immediately stop production for the rest of the season … because of Charlie’s escapades in the last few days … most recently what he said to TMZ. CBS and Warner Bros. say, “Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen’s statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of ‘Two and a Half Men’ for the remainder of the season” … Sources connected with the production tell us … Charlie’s comments to TMZ were the final straw. No word on whether production will resume next season.

Of course crazy pants Charlie wasn’t going to let that be the final word. As soon as he heard about the end of his show, Sheen released an open letter to Chuck Lorre, which you can read in full here:

What does this say about Haim Levine [Chuck Lorre] after he tried to use his words to judge and attempt to degrade me. I gracefully ignored this folly for 177 shows … I fire back once and this contaminated little maggot can’t handle my power and can’t handle the truth. I wish him nothing but pain in his silly travels especially if they wind up in my octagon. Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words — imagine what I would have done with my fire breathing fists. I urge all my beautiful and loyal fans who embraced this show for almost a decade to walk with me side-by-side as we march up the steps of justice to right this unconscionable wrong.

Remember these are my people … not yours…we will continue on together…

Charlie Sheen

It is absolutely insane how INSANE Charlie Sheen has been acting in the last few months. I mean, it was no secret that Charlie has loved to party hard for many years now … but the events that have transpired since he was hospitalized after his crazy 36-hour party last month have just been pouring out like a diarrhea of craziness! It is unclear if Two and a Half Men will return next season … but my guess is that the show is over and dunzo for good. I find it very hard to believe that CBS would want Charlie Sheen back in their employ and I sincerely doubt Chuck Lorre would ever want to be in the same room with Charlie Sheen again … let alone ever work with him again. I think anyone who’s paid any attention to Sheen‘s antics in the past month could see this coming. I doubt we’ve heard the last from Charlie Sheen on the matter of the cancellation of his show. IMHO, he is certain to continue happily digging his own grave :/

Well I’m going to be in the minority cause I don’t think this show is finished. It is a cash cow. I believe it will be back next season with Sheen in it at some capacity. Maybe not every episode, but he’ll be around.

Two and a Half Men is in the top 5 shows watched per week, EVERY week that airs a new episode (excluding award shows & sporting events). Shoot even repeats make the top 10 most times. I’m sure they’re just gonna tell Lorre to find a way to deal with Charlie and get this show back on the air.

Greed always trumps anger & concern….

      I think you are right.

the show is worth millions in syndication…without making a single show more or paying out even one more penny in salaries or production costs. in fact, it will be even better for the show that charlie is mr. crazy pants. so, im positive its all over for this chapter..

I personally love the show. I can’t believe he would be so childish and selfish and outwardly ruin it for everyone.

Do the rest of the cast and crew still get paid for their contract? I feel sorry for them because they’re all now out of work. Sounds to me like Charlie doesn’t want to “clean it up” and only agreed to because he was coerced into it. Resentful much? He’s the super daddy of train wrecks, this one.

    • Angela says:

No, the cast and crew don’t get paid. So while Charlie Sheen was out $5 mil for the four missed episodes, which is chump-change for him, your everyday lighting person or camera person also didn’t get paid for those episodes. Charlie may think his behavior and antics aren’t affecting other people, but clearly they have affected the people on the set who he refers to as his “other family.” If he was a real man, he would step up and make sure those people could pay their bills and he owes each and everyone of them an apology.

      • Debho Debho says:

I feel for those who have been left in the lurch. Charlie is definitely delusional if he thinks his actions don’t hurt anyone else. Not only his work colleagues, but his children and the rest of his family. Huge loser.

Not a fan of the show, not defending it, but it has been canceled “for the rest of the season”. It’s still not cancelled for good. This is like the show that were stopped during the wga strike for the rest of the season but were in fact coming back later that year.

The show still *could* come back in september. You should fix your headline and remove that peace the spork thing.

  5. Sara says:

They should still do the show, without Sheen. Find someone else to bring in.

    • rossy says:

Don’t ask me why but some shows DON’T survive if that certain actor/actress leaves. Case in point: long gone M*A*S*H* in it’s 11 years on air (72-83) lost actors like Wayne Rogers, McLean Stevenson, Gary Burghoff & Larry Linville – all of whom played characters integral to the show but were replaced by others playing new characters WITHOUT “damaging” the shows following seasons. Critics stated unanimously that if Alan Alda ever left, the show was over – M*A*S*H* WAS HAWKEYE PIERCE & HAWKEYE WAS ALAN ALDA!

I think it’s like that with “Two and a Half Men” – I hate to say I found myself liking & hating it when I caught it in its 2nd season but drifted away from slowly.

Drug-induced psychosis. His body is so toxic it is affecting his brain. So typical to blame everyone else but himself. Yeah, he’s ill, but it is self-induced and there is help for it. He is also very selfish. Can you imagine the disappointment of his cast and crewmates? Here they are, working on a hit show, probably enjoying every minute of, as well as being paid very well, and then this butthead ruins it for everyone. I think the show is over, and I bet his career is, too. Anyone who would touch him now is as sleazy as he is.

  7. Jenny says:

It’s time that Charlie reaps what he sows.

It’s too bad about the crew, though. Hopefully the smart ones started looking for new jobs months ago.

  8. ella says:

this is really sad. this man’s addiction is dangerously out of control. his father must be so sad right now.

  9. Evil Momma says:

I’ve always liked Charlie Sheen as an actor, but his complete disrespect of the people that love him (by his life long antics), and how he is treating a creator of many great sitcoms (whom I believe should be treated with proper respect) with his very public and juvenile comments, I’m starting to think that maybe it’s time for him to forget Hollywood and find a more humble job.

He thinks that if Two and a Half Men is cancelled, he’ll be able to move onto movies and such. Personally I think that he is managing to not just burn his bridges but instead he is blowing them up and performing suicide.

It’s too bad as his father and brother are great actors with class, somewhere along the line Charlie managed to lose sight of the “cl” part and has become the ending.

Charlie is funny, but Chuck is the great mind and doesn’t deserve the abuse, nor did the crew who relied on Charlie to act like a responsible adult, and now as a result of his actions, will suffer too.

  10. Sarah says:

    he could be bipolar?

  11. patches says:

yay! That crappy show is finally gone! Dreams do come true!

  12. Maly Maly says:

I am glad that this shit is canceled!!!Yey!!!I never liked this show:D

  13. rossy says:

He acts like a spoiled child & has done so for years & always managed to be forgiven. Enablers are caught in a never-ending trap of trying to help, protect & love those addicted but they are not the ones who should “fix the problem” – it doesn’t work that way. He needs to get fired, “blacklisted” from getting hired by ANYONE else & be deemed a insurance liability… as seems to be the case re: “Two and a half Men”. There’s nothing families can do but stay out it (person of legal age) & save their health & sanity. Bottom line is Charlie has to CHOOSE what he wants in life: substance abuse or a great life; no one else can.

Lots of people thought Robert Downey Jr. would die of a drug overdose during his battle with drugs during 1996 through 2001 & losing jobs until NO ONE wanted to hire him; rehab stints & arrests followed – EVEN incarceration in a combo rehab/jail facility for almost a year. But RDJ got his act together & made a HUGE comeback; never looking back.

  14. Mayra says:

No, no…he’s not pissed. He’s “passionate.”

    Guy is nuts.
    Selfish.

And whether we like to believe it or not, Two and a Half Men is over.

  15. Lele says:

You have great writers that could in fact save this show because there are other actors on the show that are wonderful. I believe that they could pull the show out of the woods until Fall. Don’t get me wrong I love the one liners from Charlie but he could always go to rehab on the show and only do certain voice appearances. This would keep everyones job and still keep the ratings up. However, I would change the contract to reflect the other actors getting a percent of Mr Sheen’s contracted amount. Since they would be saving the show and Mr. Sheen’s future earnings. *******Mr Sheen please get help and learn that you are only escaping reality for a short time. When you sober up you will still have to face the fat lady. (so to speak) Thank you for listening.

  16. Vikram says:

Charlie Sheen should come back to the show!!Two and a Half men wouldnt be the same without him. :’(
