The Great Dane Strikes Again
The TV Guide
Last night I met up with my friends Ollie and Caleb at The Echo in Echo Park to see Oh Land perform her second LA area concert. I had such a great time at her Troubadour show the night before that I was really excited to see her live again … and this time I recorded some video.

Oh Land performed the same set but, I’m telling you, it was just as entertaining. Here is video that I shot of her performing her song White Nights (available on her Oh Land EP):
Trust me, this video does NOT do her live performance justice. Oh Land will be touring with OMD this Spring and I’m pretty sure I’ll be at their LA show as well ;)
After the concert, Ollie, Caleb and I made our way to the Brite Spot for a little after-party of our own:

We had a blast, no question. My night last night was fun … but my day thus far today, notsomuch. It turns out that the battery in my car has died … so now I have to take it in for replacement. Blah! In the grand scheme of things, this dead battery isn’t a big deal … still, it’s a pain in the buns. I hope your Thursday is going well … can you believe it’s almost the weekend again?

Sorry to veer off topic, but have you ever considered reverting to the old layout? I read this blog on a daily basis, and I still have not grown accustomed to it. Things just feel very scrambled. What has other feedback been like?
@Ruben — The new layout is here to stay ;)
She’s playing a stripped down performance tomorrow as well
I agree…. I just returned to your blog after not having much internet access for a while and can’t say I was pleasantly suprises by this new look. The blog just doesn’t feel like trent and pink used to feel like :(
Love, a reader who has been pretty consistent since 2005.
@christine — As I’ve said before, things can’t stay static forever. I understand that the change is difficult for some people but IMHO, change is good sometimes.
Great vid and audio. You did a good job. Not like the usual footage at other live events. Blurry picture, and next to impossible to hear what is going on up on the stage because of the background noise. She is interesting for sure.
ps. I like the new layout. Feels streamlined and easy. I think it still has the PITNB ambiance. Black background. Pink font. Pink stars. And, of course, Trent!
ahh, love oh land! “wolf & i” is my favorite song on her new ep, just got it on itunes!
