At last … a member of the Lohan family did something smart and worth praising. Lindsay Lohan‘s younger brother Michael Lohan, Jr. is the first born son of Dina and Michael Lohan (Sr.) and, therefore, was unfortunately saddled with his father’s name. Little did anyone know that little Michael Lohan would be inheriting such a wretchedly embarrassing name. So, Michael Lohan, Jr. is reportedly changing his name to Michael Cameron so as to not be confused with his trainwreck of a father Michael Lohan. You follow?

Michael Lohan Jr. has decided he’s had enough of the moniker that links his him to his infamous father, so he’s changing his name … TMZ has learned … sources close to Junior tell us he had been thinking about changing his name for awhile … The Artist Soon To Be Formally Known Michael Lohan Jr. will be changing his name to … Michael Cameron. We’re told Michael plans on using the name starting with the upcoming movie he’s starring in, produced by his mom Dina.

OY! This is a brilliant idea, one that I fully and wholeheartedly support (considering I have always felt sorry for the lad that I’ve had to refer to him by his name … Michael Lohan, Jr.). I am quite dismayed that Michael Lohan, Jr. soon-to-be Michael Cameron is going into showbiz with his mother Dina Lohan … I mean, hasn’t the lad suffered enough? It’s bad enough that Lindsay turned out to be a mess … do they have to eff up another kid’s life as well? Ugh. Well, at least little Mike is getting rid of the Lohan in his name … that, at the very least, is a good start.
