First Look: The New ‘ThunderCats’ Cartoon Releases A First Trailer
No Dialog, Just Really Dramatic Music & Pretty Cool Visuals

Last week we got to check out some horribly tragic leaked footage from the planned/failed ThunderCats CGI film that never was but right now we get to check out the first video trailer for the upcoming new animated reboot cartoon of ThunderCats that will air on Cartoon Network later this year. This first trailer doesn’t feature any dialog so we don’t know what the characters will sound like … but the scenes in the clip are pretty impressive.

Okay, I could really do without the cheese, dramatic music … but I am really loving what I’m seeing in this trailer. This new incarnation of ThunderCats really does look like a genuine anime series. I’m impressed. But I want to see more. What do y’all think? Any ThunderCats purists out there? Do YOU like the look of this new ThunderCats series?

It looks good!! I won’t make my final judgement until I hear the voices. I just really hope they make Snarf less annoying…IMHO he is the Jar-Jar Binks of the Thundercats

i liked the new thundercats. they really did a good job like the new story line more mature. only thing they took out panthro, the only black thundercat but seen some familiar faces that threw me back. all in all a good show cant wait till next week

The 80′s are back! My Little Pony’s been revamped as well… and is way better than ever before.

i still like the OG cats. I guess i need to understand that they are updated and revamped to give it a “this generation” appeal. but i am still biased. I love the 80s! bring on the trapper keepers!!!

It’s the CN of course you can expect it to be a little cheesy. lol i loved watching reruns of the original and I hope the new does it justice. Excited!

I like the original better…just not a fan of anime. Anime is so dull…where’s the originality in it?! It all looks the same!!! I prefer the days when you could see each artist’s unique abilities.

There are different types of drawing styles that can be animated, so there are different types of ‘anime’. You just have to look(I believe this type is called shounen-I’m not completely sure though and can be wrong but I do know this style is a certain ‘type’).

There is a lot of originality in it, whether it be through storyline or the characters or drawing style.

The same argument of ‘no originality’ could be made for the original style of this series, seeing as how X-Men and all of the cartoons back then had the same ‘style’ of art.

Looks interesting, I may tune in C:
