The always innocent Lindsay Lohan is reportedly complaining to friends that she constantly feels victimized as a big target for others to try and take advantage of her celebrity. As you may recall, we learned yesterday that L. Lo is being charged with Felony Grand Theft for allegedly stealing a $2,500. necklace and will face up to 3 years in State prison if convicted. Lindsay was informed of this news on Friday night, right before she went out and partied at the Giuseppe Zanotti Design Beverly Hills store opening dinner that same night. Her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, vows to fight the charges … but Lindsay is worried, y’all … as she should be.

Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer swears LiLo is innocent — and is ready to do battle in court if it comes to that. TMZ obtained a statement from Shawn Chapman Holley that reads, “We vehemently deny these allegations and, if charges are filed, we will fight them in court, not in the press.” As we first reported, Lindsay will be charged with felony grand theft as early as Monday for allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Venice, CA jewelry store. She faces a maximum of three years in prison if convicted.
As for poor Lindsay, well, nothing is ever her fault … and the only reason she ever gets into trouble is because others can target her as an easy victim … at least, that is reportedly what she is lamenting to friends:
Lindsay Lohan believes the felony grand theft charge she will face is yet another example of how she has simply become an easy target for people looking to hurt her. Sources connected with Lindsay tell TMZ … LiLo thinks, “People just don’t believe me and know I’m in a vulnerable position.” She thinks the jewelry store owner is seizing the moment by concocting a story that Lindsay stole the jewelry. Lindsay insists it was loaned to her. And we’re told … Lindsay is “extremely nervous” about the prospect of going back to jail. Although she refers to the possible penalty as jail, it’s actually a lot worse … State prison. Lindsay is telling people, “Nothing is worth going back.”
It’s hard not to feel bad for this poor lost soul … but it’s also easy to see that she easily continues to put herself in situations that she thinks she can worm her way out of by just pouting her lips and blaming others. Whether or not she is guilty of committing felony grand theft will be up for the court to decide (that is, if she doesn’t manage to have her lawyers weasel her way out of trouble) but it is increasingly impossible not to lay blame on Lindsay for her own actions. Who knows, maybe she really didn’t steal this necklace … but how many times can she get into this kind of crazy trouble before people stop caring and stop listening to her excuses. Lindsay is the girl who cried wolf … and, eventually, she will have to pay for everything.

I stopped feeling bad for her a long time ago. I’m tired of her ‘pity me’ attitude. She can see, she can hear, she can walk, she can talk- she is the one that decides every action and she is more well off(money wise) then most people. She should stop playing the blame game, admit her faults and move on, move forward. When she does that-maybe she will have respect from others. She can pick herself back up and she can move forward, but only if she wants to. I honestly don’t see it happening anytime soon though.
Nothing is ever her fault, EVER! I would never want this many enablers ever… again if it wasn’t stolen then why return it to the LAPD and not the jewelery store…
I really think she needs to just leave Hollywood and go do stage acting somewhere. If she feels like she’s always an easy target, then maybe she should remove herself from the target zone…
P.S. Also Trent, I believe its a $2,500 necklace not $25,000
I really feel like, if she were loaned that necklace, there would be paperwork. A $2,500 necklace doesn’t seem like something the store owner would just give someone without some kind of receipt.
I constantly find myself shaking my head whenever I read a story about her. Ever notice how it’s NEVER HER FAULT, ALWAYS SOMEONE ELSES FAULT when anything happens to her. She NEVER owns up to anything. Wow, she must have really bad luck that all this “stuff” always seems to happens to her.
Argh!!!!
I can’t wait for her to be over. She made 2-3 good movies and then got sucked in Hollywood. If she wasn’t such a mess she would have been absolutely HUGE. OH well. She just needs to go away and do something substantial… Everyone views her as a joke now and the comeback train left a long time ago and I’m sure she’ll never be able to acquire a ticket for it.
Trent, the necklace is worth only $2500 not $25,000. It doesn’t even look like it should cost that much.
@Kristin — Whoops, my bad. True, I think the necklace doesn’t even look worth taking …
She needs to skip the trial and go straight to jail. Maybe a 3 year lock up will allow her think about what has gone on in her life in the last few years and she will come out on the other side a completely different person. If that doesn’t work then she needs to be under conservatorship just like Britney is with her father. I do not want her family to think they can be her legal caretakers while she is going through all of this crap. The court needs to hire some third party person to do it for her. Conservatorship worked wonders for Britney and her career, maybe it can do the same for Lindsay.
What an utterly ridiculous post. Skip trial, serve 3 years when she hasn’t been convicted and be placed under a conversatorship. This is the stupidest post i have ever read.
Lindsay is innocent. Shawn Chapman Holley is one of the best criminal defense attorneys in LA and she will be cleared of all charges.
Having a good attorney doesn’t make her less of a train wreck……. or less guilty. It just means she has a good attorney.
Not that I approve of using hard drugs, but I do not think that non-violent offenders should be jailed for doing so. Lohan never should have gone to jail for substance use. That being said, if she did steal the item in question, she should do time. However, she should not be placed with violent offenders. I have long thought that non-violent offenders and violent offenders should be kept separated.
Celebrities should not get a free pass to do whatever. They should be held to the same standards as the rest of us.
I agree that non-violent offenders should not go to jail.
But Lindsay constantly DRIVES DRUNK! She endangers people by stealing their cars and zooming down freeways. This girl is a danger to herself and others at all times.
I think that Lindsay should be jailed for her non-drug related crimes, and not for sniffing or snorting her poisons.
She was sentenced with probation and substance abuse classes for her substance abuse crimes. She had a short stint in jail because she repeatedly failed to complete her sentence. She is still under probation, which I think is why this necklace stealing nonsense is such a big deal. In my mind, if the court finds evidence of the crime, she deserves to go to jail. Perhaps her initial crime wasn’t deserving of prison time, but her continued disrespect of the law and the courts is what needs punishing now. What really gets me is, when you’ve been to court as much as this girl, you are told what the consequences of your future actions will be. All she had to do was stay out of trouble until her next court date.
I don’t feel sorry for Lindsay. She constantly puts herself in these messes and blames other people for it! It’s time for her to learn a lesson!
poor lindsay… she has so much bad luck. i hope all these things get past her and she makes amazing movies soon.
She always blames someone else for her mistakes. Remember when she blamed her best friend for that one car crash? Like I said before, lock the bitch up.
It just never ends for her. Why would the store claim she stole the necklace if she didn’t- hmmm…. publicity. Could be- maybe not. If they did let her borrow it as she stated- then why didn’t she return it.
So the jewelry store isn’t trying to get publicity if they “loaned” it to her? Her sense of entitlement is amazing.
jail would probably save her life. lock her up so she can do a drew barrymore and get her life together!
