Last week Miley Cyrus gave us a peek at the newest tattoo she’s had inked on her ribcage when she wore a peek-a-boo side-slit shirt here in SoCal. Today we get a closer look at Miley‘s new ink in new photos of Miley wearing that same side-slit shirt … it’s clear she wants to show off her new tattoo. The photos that we saw last week weren’t very clear but today we learn, unmistakenly, that Miley‘s new tat is of a very large Native American dream catcher.
After sharing just a flash of her new tattoo earlier this month many were wondering what new inking Miley Cyrus had etched onto her skin. But as these pictures show her fifth tattoo, located on the right hand side of her rib cage, is of a dream catcher, a Native American symbol of unity. The 18-year-old singer proudly displayed the full extent of her new body art as she stopped off at a juice bar in Toluca Lake, Los Angeles. The actress, who was recently voted the worst role model for teenage girls in an AOL online poll, wore a low cut white vest and a see-through bra to display her new design. The tattoo, which starts just under her armpit and midway down the side of her torso, displays an image of a dream catcher, an object thought to change a person’s bad dreams as they are sleeping. Miley has been spotted wearing dream catcher necklaces on a number of occasions before having a permanent reminder of the symbol drawn onto her body. The dream catcher tattoo is the singer’s fifth tattoo adding to the ‘Just Breathe’ design on the opposite side of her ribcage, a stencil of a love heart and a small cross on her finger as well as the word LOVE on the inside of her right ear.
Firstly, let me make clear that I LOVE dream catchers. You’re supposed to hang them near your bed (perhaps, in a window) and they are meant to catch nightmares while you sleep and only let you have good dreams. That being said, I’m not sure how much I like this large dream catcher tattooed on Miley‘s ribcage. In the end, tho, it’s her body and if she loves it, then who the Hell cares what anyone else thinks? I suppose this permanent dream catcher will be with her always to ensure that she only has good dreams for the rest of her life … and that can’t be a bad thing. Clearly, Miley got this tattoo after she posed for Marie Claire magazine … in the photos that we saw yesterday from her MC shoot, she was showing off a lot of skin … and this tattoo is nowhere to be seen. The only thing that comes to mind is that people who have millions of dollars in bank accounts still can’t get quality tattoo work. Haha. I hope she doesn’t hate it when she’s older. That’s gonna get fugly quick.

i’d just like to point out that people judge way too much. how is this an offensive tattoo? in any way… it’s a dream catcher people… get over yourselves. do we have to find negative in EVERYTHING miley does? sure she’s made mistakes. mistakes almost every teenager makes. yes she’s in the public eye but that doesn’t mean she’s perfect. if you think about it all of her “scandals” are just normal things teenagers go through. leave the poor girl alone. she’s 18 and she can get any tattoo or peircing she wants. who are any of us to judge her for her actions? she hasn’t gotten arrested yet. she hasn’t posed for playboy, she hasn’t released a sex tape. what has she done? smoked a LEGAL herb out of a bong… taken typical myspace pictures of herself in her bikini, tattoos, none of these are far out of the realm for any teenager. nothing she has done has harmed anyone or been illegal. just sayin.
Okay I grew up in southwest Virginia and the term white trash does not offend me at all and in fact, there’s are a lot of hillbillies I know that have rather interesting things tattoo’d on their bodies. I tend to find the humor in most things, not something I can get up in arms about.

I’ve been designing my own dreamcatcher tattoo on my rib for ages now – but on my left side! I only just found out about Miley having it done, and it just makes me want it more now! I’m going to make use of it and tell people I only got it because of Miley xD
