Last night David and I had a dinner date with Jordan (who we haven’t seen in an ice age) and our dear friend Adriana came along with us. AY met us at our place then we drove over to Night + Market on Sunset Blvd. to meet Jordan for dinner. Night + Market has become David’s favorite eatery so we were happy to introduce the place to Adriana and Jordan.

We pretty much ate everything in sight … but this poor, delicious fish didn’t stand a chance. MMMM.
After dinner, we returned to our place to listen to a few records … I decided to spin 3 of my all time favorite records — Under the Pink by Tori Amos, The Doors by The Doors and Beauty and the Beat by The Go Gos:

As you an prolly tell, I’ve been LOVING the Hell out of my new record player. Wee!!
Tonight I have tix to see Jay Brannan in concert at The Roxy so I’m excited to see him play. The weather is 75 and Sunny here in SoCal. Happy, Happy Day :D

Jay Brannan is currently my favorite artist so enjoy the concert. He generally puts on a pretty good show :)
Also forgot to add that Terra Naomi is one of his openers tonight and I love her too so I’m pretty jealous lol
I have that Go Gos album at home. Think I will go home after work and listen to it. Maybe even an old Adam Ant album too.
Trent-
I too love spinning vinyl. Like you said the act of playing records is awesome. What is even better is looking for vinyl. I love searching for rare finds. My most recent was Van Morrison Moondance. Found it for $5 and was selling at the next record store we went to for $40.
Have you though about getting a record player with a USB converter? I got one for X-mas and have been converting my rare vinyls to CD. I have done this so I keep the sound of the record player in my car. lol! I love the sound of when you first put the needle on the vinyl. I know, weird!
@Nat — My record player does have a USB output for MP3 conversion :) Yay vinyl!!
