The nominations for the 2011 Academy Awards will be announced LIVE in Hollywood, CA at 8AM ET/ 5AM PT on Tuesday January 25 and YOU will be able to watch the nomination announcements as they are made right here on the blog. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences have made available a live video stream embed of the Academy Award nominations announcement so that WE can all watch together LIVE.

    The four actor categories are basically locked up.

    Natalie Portman – Best Actress
    Colin Firth – Best Actor
    Melissa Leo – Best Supporting Actress
    Christian Bale – Best Supporting Actor

    It’s a little more difficult to choose best picture…I would not be surprised though if The Social Network, The King’s Speech or Toy Story 3 won. If I had to place bets though I’d say The Social Network will take it.

    Best Director is difficult to determine as well…I can’t decide at all.

    I love thet True Grit got nommed for Best Picture and I LOVE that The King’s Speech seems to have built a great momentum taking so many nomination spots.

    Hurrah for The King’s Speech! Such a great and beautiful film with some of my favorite actors. Really hope this wins over The Social Network. It deserves it.
