Yesterday we got our first look at Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom‘s baby son Flynn and today we learn just how new dad Orlando celebrated the arrival of his son. While Miranda was bizzy nursing the couple’s child, Orlando decided to pony up to the bar to toss back a few drinks in celebration.

Like many new fathers, Orlando Bloom couldn’t wait to toast his baby son Flynn’s arrival into the world down the pub with his friends. So after model wife Miranda Kerr gave birth to their son, the English actor headed down the low-key Pikey’s Bar in the Los Angeles suburb of Agoura Hills to ‘wet the baby’s head’. Clearly in high spirits, the Lord Of The Rings star celebrated till 2am in the morning drinking beers and even tequila shots. The photos of the actor in celebratory mode come as the couple introduced their son into the world in an intimate photo on their website. In an age where celebrity parents insist on introducing their babies to the world in big-money, glossy magazine deals, it marks a refreshing change. Beaming up to a camera held by Orlando, the Australian beauty breastfeeds their newborn son Flynn in an intimate scene of motherly warmth.
I’m not familiar with the term “wet the baby’s head” but I’m certain there are many fathers who celebrate the birth of their children with their mates at the local bar. Orlando Bloom is one lucky duck … he is married to one of the world’s most beautiful women and now he’s the proud father of a baby son. Life sounds pretty good for the Bloomster … I think he is totally deserving a few celebratory drinks.

Agreed. Happy for both of them. :)
Umm… if I just gave birth, I’d appreciate my husband being around to celebrate with me… I don’t think we should encourage absentee fathers.
That’s an Aussie tradition…wetting the baby’s head!
Are you sure that’s Orlando? I have a ‘thing’ for his ears and those don’t look like his….
Well… I’m not that sure that’s Orlando…
I don’t think that’s him…
Yeah, “wetting the babies head” is an English tradition… continued in Australia ;P All the boys take the dad out to celebrate. NOW, since they are living in LA, do you think he’ll get her a “Push Gift”??
That does not look like him. I don’t think thats Orlando
