It’s been a few days since we’ve checked in on Lindsay Lohan, primarily because there has been a lot of other MORE important stuff to talk about but also because — gasp — Lindsay has actually been behaving herself. Believe it or not, L. Lo has been a model citizen since she got sprung from rehab earlier this month. TMZ reports that Lindsay reported to her probation officer yesterday afternoon … just like a good girl should.
Lindsay Lohan just left the Santa Monica Courthouse, to meet with her probation officer … and she showed up on time and looking fine. Part of Lindsay’s deal is to meet with the woman who is supervising her probation for DUI, in addition to taking random drug tests. Sources say Lindsay has complied fully with her probation requirements since leaving the Betty Ford Center. So far, so good.
Could it really be true? Is it possible that Lindsay Lohan has FINALLY learned her lesson and has decided to straighten up and fly right? I’m not totally convinced yet … but this is a very good sign. I think Lindsay still has a long way to go yet but … easy does it, one day at a time, etc. etc.

Good for her for keeping her nose clean! I hope she keeps it up, it was really sad to see her out and about before this rehab trip.
I still think it’s pretty over for her though. What with Mila Kunis and Emma Roberts (and Stone) and Kristen Stewart and Leighton Meester etc etc…Hollywood has an endless list of talented, beautiful young actresses to pick from for movies. I’d be surprised if she ever gets a substantial role again. I’m totally okay with that- it would be the only taste of real consequences the girl has ever had.
@cmc, I totally agree her career is over. It’ll never be the same. She fell too far off track and I don’t believe for a second her attitude or perception of herself has changed in such a way that she would be positive, productive actress that studios would hire. Especially not for a major role in a major movie. Sideline crap movies, sure. I don’t get the impression from Hollywood that they are very forgiving. She’d have to be very sincere and suck it up for many many years before she would earn a major break again.
I totally agree with you guys. And also no reputable actors will want to work with her because she is a complete joke.
3 words for you.. Robert Downey Jr. – People thought the same thing about him when he was in his messed up days, and look how far he’s come. Sometimes the drive to get back what you lost and prove people wrong can make a person go far. Lindsay was talented and think she can come back. If she wants it bad enough.
Those were different times…although his problems were well-documented, those were the days before pinkisthenewblog and TMZ etc etc. People knew what he was doing and were maybe reminded once a week. Lindsay is in our face every single day: during her most problematic days, being a drugged-out asshole and flaunting her disdain for the legal system, and now, pathetically chasing her ex and calling up paps to desperately hang on to the last shred of attention she can. What she hasn’t done to lower herself further, her mother and father have done to her. And on top of that, she’s even become a shining example to other celebrities of what it looks like at the very bottom. Even Donald Trump and Heidi Fleiss take digs at her.
On top of that, before her “fall”, she was a hell of a lot of hype about a rising star, and not an established great actress with awards etc. Besides Mean Girls (which kicked ass), she never really had commercial succes, and she definitely didn’t have a stand-out role in a good movie- jst a few supporting ones. People just said nice things about her here and there.
Also, I’m sick and freaking tired of her face. If she were in a movie, I wouldn’t even want to watch it, because I wouldn’t want Hollywood execs to think I wanted her to stick around. It’s time to gracefully bow out, IMO.
oof…feels good to get all of that out. That’s how I feel every time I see a post about her.
Lindsay doesn’t have the drive or the talent to prove people wrong and she does not have anything remotely close to a support system to help her. They feed her delusions of grandor. RDJ had support and the drive to show that he is still a great actor. He hit a rough patch, saw the light and paid his dues. He did not make a mockery of everyone who wanted him to straighten up by flaunting a continuous string of F-ups like LiLo has. It’s been what, 2 yrs, and she is still dealing with the same F-ing crap? Really? She is a joke. Period. No one takes a joke seriously, no matter how much they claim otherwise. Totally, completely over her BS and pity acts.
I think Lindsay deserves another chance. I know that dealing with the courts and all their rules and conditions is very difficult. A couple of DUI’s and a misdemeanor coke possession charge got her into this mess and I’m thinking those are victimless crimes. (Sure she could have killed a family of 5 but she didn’t) The law makes her life very challenging at the moment. I can feel for her and I think others do as well. She is only 24. Lot’s of room left to grow.
