At the start of the month Lady Gaga released the first image from her upcoming new album Born This Way. Last week we got our first listen of a song titled Scheiße that will be featured on the album. Today we get to read the full lyrics to Gaga‘s title track Born This Way.

To be honest, I’m very impressed with the inclusive message contained in these lyrics. Altho I do not count myself as a Lady Gaga fan, I continue to be impressed with the way she advocates acceptance for all. What do y’all think of these lyrics? Does Born This Way read to you like an anthem that might change the world?
UPDATE: Shortly after these lyrics were released today, allegations of plagiarism have surfaced. Based on some of the lyrics and the tone of the song, Born This Way by Lady Gaga seems to bear a STRIKING resemblance to the 1975 song I Was Born This Way by a singer named Valentino:
I Was Born This Way is largely credited as the first ever “coming out” song … is it possible that Gaga‘s attempt to pay homage to Valentino‘s song actually turned out to be more of a rip-off? Thoughts?

Wow these are some shatty ass lyrics!!! I love my life, I love this record…how does she come up with this stuff?!? I love Lady Gaga, but these lyrics are atrocious! Don’t get me wrong, I support the message 100%. But it seems like she’s taken a clumsy approach to getting her message across.

I cannot figure out what the big deal about this woman is. I have tried to look at her and hear her music in the same way everyone else in the world views it but I just can’t. Yes, she’s an amazing advocate and voice to people that experience incredible criticism and hardships when it comes to their choice in lifestyle but musically, I just can’t grasp the phenomenon that she’s become. I can’t help but feel like she is using outrageous costumes and persona to distract from the fact that her music is not as prolific as she leads us all to believe.
