Yesterday we learned the disturbing news that Jake Gyllenhaal flew to Nashville, TN to have a semi-public dinner with his “ex-girlfriend” Taylor Swift in order to, some speculate, rekindle the couple’s failed romance. Others guessed that Jake was just making the courtesy effort to let down Taylor properly since reports maintain that he broke up with her over the phone. Whatever the case may be, Jake‘s visit to Nashville was very short because homeboy flew back to SoCal last night.
I’m in the “he was just being a nice guy” camp and believe that our dear Jakey poo made a courtesy visit to Nashville to let Taylor down easy. While I would hardly call the couple’s weeks long dalliance an actual “relationship”, I do think that Jake understands that Taylor is a very young girl who needs to be dumped properly at the end of a relationship … because as a very popular singer famous for writing songs about her failed relationships, it would behoove Jake greatly to stay on Taylor‘s good side. But … Jakey is back home (alone) here in SoCal and Taylor is gettin’ ready to hit the road on tour. Let’s hope never the twain shall meet again … for the sake of everyone (including us) concerned.

I love Jake and Taylor together. Jake’s visit wasn’t that short. If he was there for a post breakup meal, wouldn’t he have goen to Nashville for dinner and left the next day. He spent 3 or so more days in Nash. He was spotted several places yesterday by himself. Taylor left yesterday morning to go and perform in Mexico. My question is why Jake stayed in Nashville all day yesterday. Either he wanted to fly into LA at night and not be seen or he wanted to explore Taylor’s favorite place, Nashville.
Taylor is not immature, yes her songs are innocence, but she seems mature and professional. Lindsay Lohan, Miley Cyrus and Paris Hilton are immature. I hope Jake and Taylor can be a couple and not let the internet folks tell them whom to date. The hate for Taylor Swift is silly and uncalled for IMO.There are plenty of 20 something female celebs dating 30 something guys, but nobody is seems to care about the age difference..
I agree! Just because she uses music as therapy doesn’t mean she’s immature. She’s only 21 for goodness sakes – she’s allowed to complain about boys when they do crappy things to her!
I also love Taylor and Jake together. Yes, Jake visit wasn’t short, Taylor left Nashville on Thursday to attend a hawk party at Kansas (Guess she was invited by Abigail), from the party she headed to Mexico for her Concert. Don’t know why Jake was still in Nashville till Friday. A sailor also tweeted about seeing Jake on the Allure Ship; don’t know how true his words are.
My guess is the purpose of his trip had nothing to do with Taylor. Maybe he had business there to attend, and since he was in the city, he thought it would be rude to ignore her so he cut her in for a quick and innocent bite to eat. We don’t know what all he’s got going on, so I wouldn’t be so quick to connect the dots. Even though he’s a Romeo, I am sure he has priorities other than romance (which he doesn’t have to fly to get).
I agree partly. I think he did meet with Taylor to give her closure and I would not be surprise if he didn’t have business to attend to while he was there. Kind of killing 2 birds with one stone. However,that old saying goes…LOL!
