Last week we learned that our dear Jake Gyllenhaal decided to shave off his trademark beard but it appeared that he wasn’t too keen on showing off his freshly shorn face. Today we get to see new photos of shaved Jake out and about here in SoCal and, hurray, this time he was more willing to show off his face … mostly.

Yesterday afternoon, Jake accompanied a friend on a dog walk on Mulholland Drive and, as you can see, he happily showed off his face … for the most part. To be honest, I don’t prefer Jake with a beard over him without a beard … I think he looks great either way. My guess is that Jake shaved off his facial hair for a new film role or something … or, maybe he was just tired of being saddled with a beard. HMMMMM.
