Congratulations are in order for happily marrieds Alicia Silverstone and hubby Christopher Jarecki because today the couple have confirmed to People magazine that they are PREGS with their first child! I have been a HUGE Alicia fan since I first laid eyes on her in The Crush but my love intensified and solidified after seeing her in Clueless. I can’t even tell you how excited I am that she is now going to be a new mom.

Alicia Silverstone recently said she “can’t wait to be pregnant” – and now she is! The actress and author, 34, is expecting her first child with husband Christopher Jarecki later this year, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively. “I’ve been wanting to have a baby since I was 2 years old – I’m destined to be a mother,” Silverstone said in April. She and Jarecki, 40, wed in June 2005 in Lake Tahoe after eight years together.

To tell the truth, I am having a bit of trouble seeing Cher Horowitz as a mother (cuz I sometimes have a hard time separating an actor from a fictional character) but I’m sure all of that will change as we (hopefully) get to watch Alicia‘s baby bump develop and grow. Let’s send all of our love and HUGE congrats to the Alicia and Jared today. I can’t wait ’til we hear of the arrival of their beautiful new baby :D
