The TV Guide
Yesterday was a pretty sweet day for me. I managed to get a lot of relaxing done while still staying relatively productive. After I spent most of the day watching movies on the couch, I finally got around to cataloging my growing pile of new vinyl records and then last night I got out of the house and did a bit of dancing. All in all, it was a really fun Xmas Eve.
I watched a lot of movies yesterday (strangely, a lot of Star Trek films) including one of my all time fave films The Breakfast Club. I don’t care what I’m doing, if The Breakfast Club is on, I will make time to watch it. My evening was spent cataloging and listening to some vinyl records:
Unfortch, I’ve gotten out of the practice of listening to my records … but I’m glad I found the time to spin a few last night. As the last hours of Xmas Eve slipped away, I got all dolled up in my best black attire and made my way out to the LA Dead dance party Frostbite last night:
For years now, I’ve been meaning to attend one of LA Dead‘s fun goth/industrial dance parties but I never seemed to find the time to do so. My recent visit to City Club back home in Detroit inspired me to get my ass to an LA Dead party before the end of this year … and last night was my night. The Frostbite party last night was themed as a Winter Solstice Formal Dance … which, to be honest, was prolly pretty much the same as any of their dance party nights. The music was fantastic and the atmosphere was welcoming. I’ve been out of the goth/industrial scene for many years now but every once in a while I yearn for those good ol’ days. It was really fun getting out of the house last night … I had a blast. I deffo hope to attend more of these events in the coming year.
Today is Xmas and I sincerely hope that all y’all are having a great holiday … be it with family, friends or on your own. I plan on doing as little as possible today. Have a great day, however you choose to enjoy it! Seasons Greetings!!!
