Kevin Federline Comments On Britney Spears’s Engagement To Jason Trawick

"I'm really happy for her"

Last Thursday night, Jason Trawick‘s 40th birthday, Britney Spears and Jason got themselves engaged to be married. Over the weekend, we got our first look at our dear Britney‘s beautiful new engagement ring. By and large, the response to news of Britwick‘s engagement has been OVERWHELMINGLY positive … pretty much every single person is thrilled by the news that Britney and Jason are planning to get hitched. Among those happy well-wishers is Kevin Federline, Britney‘s ex-husband and the father of her two sons. Click below to read what K-Fed has to say about Britney‘s engagement to Jason.

Kevin Federline is giving his blessing to ex-wife Britney Spears for her recent engagement to Jason Trawick. When met during a break from filming “Excess Baggage” in Sydney, Australia, the 33-year-old told TV Week magazine,

“I’m really happy for her – I think he’s a great guy. She’s happy; she’s doing really well. I want to say she’s in a good place. I haven’t spoken to her much since I’ve been over here, both of us have been busy with her being on tour, but I do know from talking to the kids and talking to the kids’ teachers that they’re doing really good. It’s a good step in the right direction. I’m totally happy for her. [Jason]‘s a really good guy, I’ve heard a lot about him. I’ve spoken to him quite a few times as of now. He seems like a really good guy. The kids speak highly of him [and] her family loves him.”

While I don’t personally place a lot of stock in any ringing endorsement from Kevin Federline, I must admit that I’m impressed that he had such positive things to say about Britney and Jason as a couple. As much as I don’t like the fact that K-Fed will forever be tied to Britney and her sons, I can at least appreciate that he has managed to stay pretty much out of Britwick‘s life now that Jason is a father figure to Sean Preston and Jayden James. It’s always a tricky situation to move forward after divorce and remarriage but in this situation, I suppose, I can give K-Fed credit for doing the right thing. Federline is far from my favorite person on Earth but I can respect the man for his respect of Britney‘s happy new life.

Thinking about this – I think Britney and Kevin were enablers for one another; they both have mental health issues and being together might have been a way for them to gain acceptance from one another for their coping behaviours (eg, drugs). I think they were really toxic for another. Obvs these two will be forever intertwined because of their kids, but I think they can now be supportive of one another on their individual roads to happiness, Britney with Jason and Kevin with Victoria.

  2. I don’t care tbh I still hate him, so god damn much. The only good thing I can think to say about his ass is that I’m totally thrilled that he’s fame whoring in Australia, and has left the boys with Britney since late October.

Wow, I’m very impressed with how mature that was from Kevin.

Also, are they remaking Excess Baggage?!

That was nice though I hope to see her gain joint custody back legally (as she seems to have has physical custody of them for quite some time now ie the entire tour). It’s ashame if she doesn’t. I’m sure it’s a result of the legal issues with her conservatorship. When it’s lifted I hope he doesn’t give her a hard time with custody for the sake of money. He isn’t making a living otherwise.

  6. “Kevin Federline is giving his blessing” who ever wrote this, started the whole article off wrong.
either way..i think both kevin and britney have grown alot over the pass few years. they both seem like thier in good places and happy in thier personal lives. i wish them both the best.

In that same article he also goes on to talk about how great it is to be able to move on & how great Victoria is. She’s obviously great enough to knock up but not great enough to marry because that would mean giving up on his gravy train from Britney. Maybe if he got off his butt & did something with his life he wouldn’t have to keep doing these reality weight loss shows. What a way to show your kids how to be a real man.
