Giuliana Rancic Successfully Undergoes Double Mastectomy Surgery

Early last week, E! News reporter Giuliana Rancic revealed on The Today Show that she has decided to undergo a double mastectomy in order to rid her body of the cancer that has taken hold and today we learn from E! News that Giuliana has successfully endured the operation. According to E!, despite the obvious pain and discomfort that comes from undergoing such an invasive procedure, Giuliana is already getting back to her old self … cracking jokes already. Click below to read the known deets about Giuliana’s recovery.

Some terrific news to report about our Giuliana Rancic. The E! News and Fashion Police mainstay underwent successful double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery last night for her breast cancer, and, according to husband Bill Rancic, came through in great spirits. “G is doing really well,” Bill exclusively tells E! News. “Her surgery lasted about four hours and the doctors were very pleased with the result.” “She had a little bit of pain through the night but is feeling much better this morning and was cracking jokes.” Sounds like Giuliana is already back in fine form. Indeed, she even had her own message to share. “I want to thank all the viewers and fans for their support and prayers,” she says. “The tweets and notes have not gone unnoticed. I am very grateful.” Just get well soon, G. The office isn’t the same without you.

Aww, this is great news. While I cannot for the life of me understand what it must be like for any woman to undergo this kind of operation, I am very relieved to hear that Giuliana is not only doing well … but that she is in good spirits in the wake of her surgery. I applaud Giuliana and husband Bill Rancic for sharing this part of their personal lives with the world. Maybe their personal situation can speak to others and help in some way. Get better soon, Giuliana. We love you, girl!

That is great news, I’m very glad that she came through surgery with a sense of humor, I’m not sure I could do the same! I cannot imagine how much pain she must be in, and I wish her a speedy recovery.

    My best wishes for her!

It makes me sick, beyond sick, to read some of the comments on about her. That she is using her cancer to get more press. She is using her struggles to increase awareness! I think it’s amazing and I hope and pray that she makes it through and I truly believe she is doing A LOT of good for a lot of women by going through this so publicly.

I agree, and I have quit reading or commenting anywhere but here or Trent’s FB for that very reason. That anyone thinks that Giuliana was happy to get cancer for press makes me physically sick to my stomach. I cannot imagine how proud their mothers must be of them.

It is not easy to be a public figure and deal with any health-threatening disease. I applaud her for sharing her personal struggles and maintaining poise throughout her ordeal. Whether or not she’s using her illness for fame, anyone going through this type of struggle needs warm support.

I am so happy that Giuliana is doing well after her surgery. I hope she continues to heal and get better and stronger each and every day. I adore her and wish her and Bill all the very best!

One of my closest friends was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 weeks ago at the age of 28. She’s finding so much comfort and solace in Guiliana’s story. It’s great that she is so public with her struggle; I can see firsthand the difference it is making for my dear friend.
