Last month, I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Twilight actor Kellan Lutz at the Hollywood premiere of Immortals and at the time, he was rocking a full head of gorgeous hair. A lot has changed in the past few weeks … Kellan has made his way to Australia … and he has shaved off all of his hair. He’s familiar to millions of Twilight fans as brooding dark haired vampire Emmett Cullen. But now that filming is finished on the successful film franchise, Kellan Lutz clearly wanted the opportunity to experiment a little with his hairstyle. The 26-year-old actor posted a photograph of himself sporting a punky Mohawk hairstyle in his natural light brown hair colour on his Twitter page yesterday. Posing in what looked like a shower cubicle, the star wrote: ‘Movember equals MoHawk month right, or was it Mustache? … Out with the old and in with the new, good bye dark hair it’s been fun.’ And just two hours later, Kellan posted another photograph, this time with his remaining hair entirely shaved off. ‘Love swimming in the ocean here in Australia with my shaved head,’ he wrote.
You know, I gotta say … I think the mohawk look works for Kellan. He’s a beefy guy already so having a severe haircut kinda adds to the overall impression of beefiness. The completely shaved look, tho, pushes him a bit into the world of meatheadness. As we learned from Jared Leto, a mohawk can really work stylistically. That being said, I can see how the entirely shaved head look might grow on me. Chances are, Kellan shaved his head for a role so … I guess we’ll have to see how long he keeps this look. What do y’all think … do you prefer your Kellan with or without hair?
It’s not bad. Personally, I have a thing for guys with mohawks, I don’t know why but it just adds such an appeal. However, the bald look doesn’t look bad on him either, he has the facial features to make it work.
i actually liked the bald head over his curls. he has the facial structure (like a strong jaw) that make it work.
Yeah, I have to agree. I’ve never really thought he was all that attractive, but that above pic…well, that smoldering look he’s giving just made my clothes fall off.
