Movie Review: ‘Immortals’

As I mentioned earlier, David and I were invited to the Hollywood premiere of Immortals at Nokia Theater in downtown LA last night and I am happy to tell you that we both enjoyed the film very much. I had been anxious to see Immortals for months so we were quite thrilled to get an early look at the film. As an added bonus, we got to attend the premiere afterparty and let me tell you, we had a fantastic time! Immortals is based loosely on the Greek myth of Theseus and the epic war between the Olympian gods (Zeus, Athena, Poseidon, etc.) and the fallen demigod Titans. I have to say right off the bat, if you’re looking for a rich Greek myth story, this isn’t the movie for you. Instead, Immortals offers a visually stunning film that looks fantastic in 3D. The fight scenes are pretty fun to watch, especially when the gods are in action. It’s also important to note that Henry Cavill (Theseus) is shirtless for 90% of the film. That alone, my friends, is worth the price of admission. I’d say Immortals is LIGHT YEARS better than the crappy Clash of the Titans that came out last year. I think people will really enjoy this world created by Tarsem Signh. It’s a fun movie, deffo worth your time.

After the movie, we got to hang out with the celebs and guests at the afterparty. Not only did David and I get to meet actor Kellan Lutz (Poseidon) but I also got to meet Pink reader Erin, who was just the cutest ever!!

At the party, they had a fun photobooth area set up to snap fun action photos with a couple of burly Immortals characters:

SO MUCH FUN! I’m not sure how your Monday night was but mine was pretty fantastic. The ONLY regret is that I wasn’t able to find/meet/grope Henry Cavill at the afterparty. We somehow missed seeing him there :( Ah well, I’ll get him next time ;)
