Twilight stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner were on hand in Hollywood, CA this morning to leave their hand and footprints in the cement in front of the world famous Grauman’s Chinese Theater. The Twilight trio join a select group of Hollywood icons asked to be memorialized in this way … so today’s tribute is no small thing. Click below to see some photos from K. Stew, R. On Thursday (Nov. 3), “Twilight” saga stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner (who will be everywhere for the next three weeks) stopped by Hollywood’s Grauman’s Chinese Theater to leave imprints of their hands and feet next to the likes of Douglas Fairbanks and Bette Davis. According to the Los Angeles Times, part of Hollywood Boulevard was closed to make room for the hordes of “Twilight” fans who turned out for a glimpse of the actors. Pattinson cut a sleek figure in a grey blazer and white button-down shirt. Kristen Stewart wore a flesh colored mini-dress overlaid with black beading and stilettos. Taylor Lautner went the casual route, opting for a black untucked shirt and jeans. The trio’s latest movie, “Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ is slated to descend on theaters Nov. 18, just in time for the holidays.
Wow. This is an impressive honor. Unlike the numerous stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, not many people are asked to leave their hand/footprints in the cement in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theater. I kinda love that Kristen ditched her high-heeled shoes and wore Vans slip-on sneakers to leave her footprints … that’s kinda cool. While I’m entirely irritated that this whole Twilight thing has grown so big, I gotta hand it to them … they’ve really managed to take the phenomenon to a whole new level. Congrats are in order, I think.
