The ‘Twilight’ Trio Makes Their Mark On Hollywood

Twilight stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner were on hand in Hollywood, CA this morning to leave their hand and footprints in the cement in front of the world famous Grauman’s Chinese Theater. The Twilight trio join a select group of Hollywood icons asked to be memorialized in this way … so today’s tribute is no small thing. Click below to see some photos from K. Stew, R. Pattz and Tay Tay’s big day.

On Thursday (Nov. 3), “Twilight” saga stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner (who will be everywhere for the next three weeks) stopped by Hollywood’s Grauman’s Chinese Theater to leave imprints of their hands and feet next to the likes of Douglas Fairbanks and Bette Davis. According to the Los Angeles Times, part of Hollywood Boulevard was closed to make room for the hordes of “Twilight” fans who turned out for a glimpse of the actors. Pattinson cut a sleek figure in a grey blazer and white button-down shirt. Kristen Stewart wore a flesh colored mini-dress overlaid with black beading and stilettos. Taylor Lautner went the casual route, opting for a black untucked shirt and jeans. The trio’s latest movie, “Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 1″ is slated to descend on theaters Nov. 18, just in time for the holidays.

Wow. This is an impressive honor. Unlike the numerous stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, not many people are asked to leave their hand/footprints in the cement in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theater. I kinda love that Kristen ditched her high-heeled shoes and wore Vans slip-on sneakers to leave her footprints … that’s kinda cool. While I’m entirely irritated that this whole Twilight thing has grown so big, I gotta hand it to them … they’ve really managed to take the phenomenon to a whole new level. Congrats are in order, I think.

On one hand I am kind of shocked that they got this honor, but on the other hand…it is about tourism. And who is more likely to visit LA just to see footprints than Twihards?

    • @Krissy — Yep, you’ve explained it much better than I could. You hit the nail squarely on the head.

    • Krissy

      Aw, thanks! ;)

    • Tracy

@Krissy – You know what you are so right. I could not figure out for the life of me why these guys are being honored in thiw way…it is ally about money…money talks and BS walks.

  • Mr. Gyllenhaal

Did you notice how Roberts foot print is touching Kristen’s?? Now, their love will be frozen forever too:)!! Congrats to them thou.

  • Joon

Yeah, you can’t fit one of Trent’s stars between Kristen & Rob’s feet but you can with Kristen & Taylor!! She’s even sitting closer to Rob. ;)

OMG I can’t believe how beautiful Kristen look its amazing what a simple smile and some great hair can do! FYI I say that cos the TwiWigs disgust me lol!

    • Tracy

  • Sue Megma

Look at how muscley Taylor’s thighs are…and how skinny Robert’s are…ick

  • lemon

i gotta say i was looking to see if Kristen’s underwear was exposed more than at the footprints handprints and signatures itself

The Harry Potter trio left their prints there too so it’s not so surprisingly. I mean, in what way is the HP series more important than the Twilight Saga? It’s 100 times better written yes, but in both cases is all just about the money …

These three deserve this honor about as much as I deserve a bullet to the head. Whatever happened to the days when it was actually an honor for an actor/actress to do this? How long did it take for Johnny Depp to get his? I’m guessing longer than four years. It is about the money which is a shame to allow these horrible actors to believe they are great enough for this honor becasue they are NOT.

    At least she looks happy.

  • Eri

Wait…she was wearing stilettos but her foot print is flat? Am I missing something? I’m guessing they do the feet on a different day…
