Actress Rooney Mara, who has had to undergo a very severe make-over for her lead role in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, is featured on the cover of the November issue of Vogue magazine looking very unlike her on-screen character Lisbeth Salander. This issue of Vogue isn’t out yet but a photo of Rooney on the cover has, as you can see below, made its way to the Internets.

I can’t say that Mara looks “prettier” like this than she does as Lisbeth because there are many kinds of beauty. I will say she looks softer, more delicate here. I have been so impressed with Rooney Mara‘s work … and we haven’t even seen the full scope of her talent. She is going to BLOW UP once Dragon Tattoo is released, mark my words. I am really looking forward to seeing the rest of the Vogue photos from this issue. Hopefully we’ll get to see them soon.

Gorgeous! Trent, I totally love how fair and open you make sure to be, but we must admit that her character looks a little rough, I don’t think they were going for “pretty”.
I have no doubt she will portray Lisbeth very well – my thoughts I guess are whether she could be an Oscar contender. Lead or Supporting is another question – the Academy are known for placing some actors is strange categories.
Eg; Hailee Steinfield in Supporting category for True Grit when I personally believe it was a Lead role and a winning role at that.
Others were confused with Kate Winslet in The Reader – I wasn’t as bothered by it. Her character was obviously an important role in the film, but others disagree.
Onto THIS article – she looks stunning.
