Earlier this month, at NY Fashion Week, Courtney Love gave an impromptu interview where she talked about books (among other, very random things) and wouldn’t you know it … today we learn that Courtney has landed a publishing deal to WRITE her own book. According to the New York Times, C. Love will be penning a tell-all memoir (with a ghost writer, I’m assuming) in order to tell her side of her trainwreck of a life story. Interested? The memoir is due out next Fall.
A tell-all memoir from Courtney Love will be released by William Morrow next fall, the publisher said on Thursday. Ms. Love, the musician and actress, will give an account of her life from childhood to the present, including tales from her own band, Hole, her stints in Hollywood, her marriage to Kurt Cobain and her relationships with Billy Corgan and Edward Norton. Ms. Love will work with a co-writer, Anthony Bozza. “Courtney is one of the most fascinating and provocative artists of our time, one of those rare performers who continues to reinvent herself time and again throughout the arc of her career,” Lynn Grady, the deputy publisher of Morrow, said in a statement. “It’s time for the public to hear her tell her story, as she lived it.”
Heaven help us ALL. We will soon live in a world where Courtney Love OF ALL PEOPLE is a published author. Then again, we already live in a world where Nicole Snooki Polizzi is a published author so … the decline of modern civilization is already at hand. But, I digress. As disheartening as this news may sound, I can’t lie … I think I *might* be interested in reading this mess of a book. I was wholly fascinated by Courtney‘s 2 hour episode of Behind the Music (which came out last year) so I can only imagine the stuff she’ll spill to sell this book. I absolutely do not believe she will do the bulk (if any) of the writing … but I do believe the deets will spill from her like blood from a wound gash. Color me curious … how about YOU?
