A couple weeks ago we got to see pretty hawt photos of actor Zac Efron on the New Orleans, LA set of his new film The Paperboy. As you may recall, Zac was sportin’ a gleaming white tank top t-shirt on set the last time we saw him. Today we get to see new photos of Zac on set, still wearing the tank top, but also wearing … less. For one particular scene, Zac strips down to his blood-stained underwear … which you can get a taste of in the photos below.
Zac Efron stripped down to his underwear yesterday on the set of his new movie The Paperboy. But instead of it being for a sexy scene, the 23-year-old actor was covered in blood and got down and dirty for a more serious storyline. The former High School Musical star is currently in New Orleans, Louisiana where he is continuing to shed his teen hearthrob image in favour of being a more serious actor. Zac wore a white tank top and matching boxer shorts that were splattered with blood but still managed to look as hunky as ever. He is co-starring in the film with Nicole Kidman and the pair have been working on the Lee-Daniels directed thriller for the past month. She was also on set but remained in a red vehicle for most of the shoot. Daniels, the man behind the Oscar-winning Precious, is at the helm of the film about a reporter who returns to his Florida hometown to investigate a case involving a death row inmate. Nicole, 44, plays Charlotte Bless, while Zac – with his bulked up physique and lighter brown hair – playing Jack James. Mother-of-four Nicole apparently replaced Sofia Vergara in the role in June and her character, Charlotte, is said to be a woman with a dark side who writes letters to men on death row … The movie also stars Matthew McConaughey, John Cusack, David Oyelowo and former ‘There’s Nothing Like This’ singer Maxwell. It’s based on the novel by Peter Dexter, who wrote the screenplay for Mulholland Falls. The movie is due out sometime next year.
HMMM … this film sounds dark … gritty … and yearning for awards show consideration. It looks like Zac is serious about moving into the realm of serious acting. He played a pretty serious role in Charlie St. Cloud and now he’s working with the director of the extremely gritty film Precious? I mean, I wish him all the luck in the world but … yeah, we’ll just have to see. In the meantime, I have no problem focusing on the fact that this film role — as serious as it may be — requires Zac to wear as little clothing as possible. I mean, that’s serious enough for me ;)
