Watch: The ‘Ringer’ Discussion Panel At 2011 San Diego Comic-Con

The new CW TV series Ringer, which stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and will debut this Fall, was well-represented this year at 2011 San Diego Comic-Con … which means we got a lot of goodies to enjoy. First we got a couple of amazing promo posters, then we got a new trailer for the show … and today we get to check out video from the panel discussion with the show’s lead actors and producers. Click below to check out what the Ringer folks have to say about the show themselves.

I can’t wait!! As much as I *think* I would like to get this kind of Comic-Con experience in person, I find that the digital version after the fact is just fine. This panel was great … I’m so glad this video was made available to us online. Ringer is gonna rule, I just know it.

I haven’t really heard much about this show – only what i’ve read here (though i d/led both seasons after seeing the 1st ep), but i’m a huge buffy fan and Life Unexpected has just started playing in New Zealand & i totally love Kristoffer in that.

I hope this show plays over here, i’m really excited to see both back on tv again!

Thanks for putting this up Trent and the person who filmed it!

Ringer is decent. SMG is pretty good in the pilot, but it is kind of “Lifetime Movie” cheesy. It will be interesting to see where it goes as a series because the pilot plays more like a movie. ABC and CBS passed on it and that is how it landed at The CW.

ABC didn’t passed on it. It was ABC TV Studios who produced the pilot along with CBS TV studios for the network CBS. The network CBS liked the pilot very much, but they feared that the serialiszed series would not fit for their audience. Ringer went to series at the CW, with ABC Studios pulling out as an active co-producer but retaining passive interest.

They’re currently doing some changes on the pilot. Of course the CGI is getting finished and I think the actress who played the actress is getting replaced.

Ah, thanks for the update. I had heard it was originally at ABC, they passed and then produced with CBS, who then also passed. I am looking forward to watching the revamped first episode!
